Hayatımın filmidir. En sevdiğin film hangisidir sorusuna hiç düşünmeden verdiğim cevaptır. Bir sürü berbat filmine karşılık Alan Parker'ı ısrarla sevme nedenimdir. Son sahnesi benim için hayal kırıklığıdır. Böylesine muhteşem bir film öyle bir planla bitmemelidir:) Ama yine de aşık olunası bir filmdir. İzlemeyene tavsiye, izleyipte beğenmeyene teessüf edilir:)

Brilliant Alan Parker Film ... This "flight"scene is one of the pivotal points of the film and the use of Peter Gabriels music really makes it

The scene was achieved by letting the camera slide down a wire

I saw this my senior year of high school. a great coming of age film. masterful performance by modine.  gabriel's music was released a few months before the film actually came out. i cry when i see this part and the part where parker uses extended editing when modine 'flies' during the fall.

I am sorry, I am referring to a scene where they use the film technique of extended editing. This means that the footage is 'extended' during in between cuts. The scene is where the both of them are in 'bird suits' and modine's character falls. while he is falling (in slow motion) cage is running to catch up. the falling is extended so it lasts extra long in between cutting to cage running down the stairs.

The main theme is totally different on the album than in the movie. He should have let it be the same as in the movie. A great movie.
