I hate when people knock westbrook for taking too many shots. I understand he's the point guard but when the thunder lost green they needed him to step up as a scorer. You cant say he's bad or he sucks. He does what the Thunder need him to do and that is to be a high level player. He's young and athletic and plays both sides of the court.

In Durrants highlights of this game you hear Mike Fratello saying "When Durrant gets the ball, he's saying if I touch it, it's goin up" cause of how little touches he was getting. Russell's a great up and coming player who can obviously get points but at the same time every body has to get theres especially Durrant. He's not D-Rose, he's got KD.

He has to know his role, not to say Westbrook can't take over if say Durrant is struggling (then its ok) but in this game he took 35 attempts to KD's 20 for just 5 more points (he also had 13 rebounds to Russells 5!). Nobody cares about Rose cause of his likeable personality and the media awarding him the MVP.

russell played great in this game but he took 32 shots to get to 40 points. for a "point guard", that's too much of taking the offense into your own hands. especially, when you have a 30 ppg scorer on your team. look at game 7 of this series when he decided to temper it down ... the Thunder were able to close out more effectively. im not blaming Russ solely for their flameout to Dallas, but they were never able to get some facilitation from anyone (sorry, James Harden doesn't count).
