Ever done the muay thai fighters test? At the end of cardio, skipping pad hitting test, one senior gym member kicks as much as he can, THEN you answer +1. Then onward to the next, and so on and so forth. I remember one person kicking 80+ and the person doing the test couldnt finish. He had to start again and there were 15 club members!

Then that means you were simply kicking the bag for cardio and not MT kicks lol. That drill is meant to train speed, endurance and technique/form. Noone will kick someone million times but train that daily and you will be able to launch those kicks out of nowhere without telegraphing.

Always keep your guard up. If you train Muay Thai formally, no matter what you are drilling, your trainer would smack you in the face if your guard is down. Defense is highly emphasized because it is critical in MT and also contributes to it's effectiveness in combat. Keep training hard. Peace.

Kicks are kicks regardless of the martial art that you're trained in. It's on the individual and how hard they work to emphasize the power of their kicks. The kicks you're delivering is a simple round house; not necessarily a "muay thai kick." I am not trying to bash on you or anything so please do not take me wrongly. Keep working hard, maybe one day you and I can have a kicking contest on youtube =D
