V70 & S60 Volvo are a well made machine with best of both worlds power and economy. Stability above 70mph is great. Ive had my V70 over a year now and still love the grunt when accelerating (ps. I used to hate diesel)
Thx for the comment, I can honestly say its the only diesel that has the right sound about it...a real nice grunt. I will capture the sound better on next vid.
Totally Agree with you Mark. It annoys me reading car reviews they all say the D5 is "unrefined and noisy" I'm sure they really mean it sounds bloody brilliant! haha. None of this 4 cylinder Transit/Taxi clatter like most diesels out there!
I love driving the D5 and I'm not an old man with a pipe. haha. My dad owned a 2003 163bhp D5 S60, Currently owns a 2007 185bhp V70 and we're now looking at the brochure for the new 2010 205bhp R-DESIGN V70 :o)
I havent chipped it yet, been looking at the ppc from BSR. The D5 engine is an absolute cracking unit, I never thought I would own a diesel car until I tried the V70 & S60 with the D5 engine. As an ex petrol head I enjoy driving my mates Type R Accord and if petrol wasnt so expensive I would of got a V70 T5 but in the meantime I'm 101% happy with the V70 D5 in terms of performace, economy, space and handling is quite good for a car that is 1.6 ton.
I have a D5 and it's a very nice and quiet ride with lots of torque!

I am indeed crediting volvo, not ford. Read again.

@ daggernite, the D5 engine was based on the Volvo 2.5 20v petrol 5 cyl engine.
The ford Focus ST has got the Volvo T5 engine. So no need to thank Ford for this engine but Volvo!!
