I have had so many TOT bosses in my time. I WISH Lynn had written this book years ago it would have saved me a lot of grief. Lynn Taylor is a genius ... this book is a must read for anyone working in an office environment.
I love the inflatable boss. My boss is never there when people need him, to have a meeting with him is nearly impossible. I'd put that pacifier guy in the corner of my office and talk to him instead.

Thats a funny approach. Think of it, my boss does behave childishly sometimes. Also - put that office tyrant figure in the office and let the employees throw stuff at it - release some tension, have some laughs, and if the actual boss is cool with it, could create some bonding and maybe more trust between him and the employees.
Yeah, childish behavior in adults - can be tough if it's your boss. I had some pretty bad experiences with TOTs over the years. Laughter helps, makes it easier. I feel the book should be good, gonna check it out.

Lynn Taylor's book showed me how to deflate my bosses inflatable head. How to deflate his belly is something left up to the boss himself.
