@ScaredKid321 I hope it is but I was promised the same thing with SR 2 and it was fun sometimes but most of it was just repetitive mini games that I have played before in better games. Spewing shit on houses is funny at first, on video. Actually playing it is no different then going around town in GTA with a fire truck but with a meter that tells me how many more houses I need to hit.

It seems like they recognize the problems of the past titles so maybe 3 will really be fun.

@ScaredKid321 I think he meant 2. I would agree with it. Over the top violent? Blood splatters and bodies fall like rag dolls. Nothing new or that fun. It was exciting when max Payne came out, now it's just old. at least gta 4 had a physics system that made the random crazy violence look slightly more real. People would clutch wounds and fall down, making gun fights a bit more satisfying.

Saints row gunfights feel like I'm fighting human shaped tanks. They stand and pivot their body to shoot

Yeah SR2 was definitely not over-the-top violent. But it was over-the-top in many ways :o

But you gotta look at SR3 because there are some things that are pretty violent (ex. Apoca-fists)

But yeah i do agree with you if we were talking about SR2.

SR 2 was like fast and furious made interactive. Insultingly stupid and full of itself but kind of fun if your drunk or high, so pretty fun most of the time for me.

I am looking at SR 3 but it's hard to get excited after being so let down with 2. I really do hope they follow through, it appears to have fixed everything that bugged me about 2.

@ScaredKid321 If you have played GTA 4, ignore this. If you haven't or you gave up after a few missions, give it a chance. Seriously it starts off a little dark and serious but it gets really crazy and fun after the first few missions. The turning point for me was the part where you kill the annoying "boss" guy who is ordering you around.

I loved it because in most gta games, I would have to wait til the very end to do this, like with Tenpenny. Point being, Niko "don't play no shit"

@ScaredKid321 If you hated the game play of GTA 4 I wouldn't suggest either expansions but if you enjoyed the crazy sections of that game, you should give either one a try. TLATD Is pure gangland violence, crazy fun and TBOGT does have some gang stuff but it's mostly the crazy "one man vs an army" kind of fun. Launching grenades at oncoming cops and shit. Amazing

@ScaredKid321 Well I got both on a one disk set so I kind of lucked out but I would choose TBOGT over TLAD. Still I love that one for what it is, pure action movie fun. It's a bit more grounded than TBOGT but way darker and crazier than GTA 4 (you know, the niko version) but I agree I would have preferred something more "epic" like SA. I mean SA ended with a massive riot, not saying they need to do it again but topping it would have been cool.

@ScaredKid321 Personally I would have had the last mission be something important to the main character but have that going on the day before a supposed cataclysm (maybe 2012) and people are losing their shit but the protagonist isn't involved in the hype, he (or she) is just on a single minded mission of....whatever the story was leading up to. Of course the end of the world doesn't happen and the riot becomes a strange fever dream and soon a distant memory. My idea at least.

Among other flaws, GTA4 has no checkpoint system until the very last mission, which makes every single mission a pain in the ass to play through, and has the worst minigames of any GTA game I've ever played in my life. Anyway, why is it that a game which is worth so much money obigated to be perfect? GTA4's deveolpers put a lot of money into their project. SMG2's developers put a lot of creativity into their project.

GTA 4 has better graphics, physics a more dramatic story line and better cars.

GTA san andreas has allot more extra content for example the gym/barber/fat capacity/stamina/lung capacity/ all sorts of vehicle licenses including airplanes/ parachutes etc. I prefer San andreas because of that extra content, but it's a laughter if you compare it with the new gta 4 engine, but that's not so strange since gta 4 had a completely different generation of technology
