Mr Wonderful's best matches were with Hogan, but sadly it backfire on him and made him a jobber afterwards. Never reached is full potential, excellent heel
as a fued i dont think anybody has ever been over like these guy's were people believed that hogan was nearly invinsable and orndorff was his only real competition and everyone thought one of these times paul was gonna get the win and it's a shame they never let him have that belt even if it would have been briefly he earned it no one was over as a heel like orndorff
the music: Orndorf turned on Hogan (he went face for a bit, teaming with Hogan, then turned on Hogan, which is the reason for this match). Orndorf claimed "Hogan stole my music." In actuality, Hogan and Orndorf tag teamed together, and came out to the same music (which Hogan used first). Orndorf claimed it was his music to build heat with the fans.
Still, the difference in crowd response between this match and pretty much the rest of the show says something about Hogans unique position in wrestling at that time...
People thought it was real back then... Than in 1987 Hacksaw Jim Duggan and the Iron Sheik get pulled over for DUI, and coke possesion... When they were supposed to be bitter rivals... Kind of through the mystique away... If miss the old days, reminds of childhood... Ultimate Warrior, The Rockers, The Demolition Team, Mr. Perfect, Big Boss Man... That was some good old WWF... Now its more like a male soap opera the WWE...

Maybe they should've stuck to Eye of the Tiger in Canada lol. If I remember, don't the fans boo Hogan at the end of this match?

Orndorff never had music in the WWF until maybe late 87, if at all?

Always wondered what happened to Hogan's ear before this match. You don't shoot roids in the ear, or blade there.

Paul Orndorff should have gave the ref a piledriver
styx4ever1963 2 years ago
The ref was a dumbshit

@urbanflavorz Ohh yeaa, you can't even compare to today.
If you want to see a really hot crowd, watch the Ultimate Warrior vs Hogan at WM6 match.
