If only he didnt sell out. He is definitly one of the greatest rappers of all time. Beyonce fucked him all up... Once he got with her, him and his image changed.

@xXBluePigXx I'm not saying you're wrong, a lot of the new artists are whack, but all those emcees you just named have different flo, you can't compare them. Some of Drake's shit is good. Kendrick Lamar is definitely not the only "new" artist that is any good. Sure it's harder to find now, but good music still exists.
Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique ,Kendrick Lamar ,Jay Rock ,Joe Budden Crooked I Joel Ortiz Royce da 5'9 aka Slaughter House , look them up before you say hip hops dead, it ain't dead youre just too lazy to look up new ppl stuck in the past ,sound like old ass geezers complaining about the kids in this generation lmao well peace.

@TheMarkOfJ He's grown now, and rich. He can't rap about the same things forever. When you stop being real about your current lifestyle, you lose that "it" factor. That's why Jay's always going to be on top, he raps it like he lives.

Do you expect hip-hop to just come back to life if we stay in the 90's? Start bumping some new shit. Gangrene just released a banger. Madchild gave us an EP. Homeboy Sandman released a great album. Koncept released a near-classic. This is all in 2012. Goddamn you motherfuckers are sleeping
Doesn't mean that hip-hop is dead. There's still real hip-hop but all of you old folks just sit around complaining rather than promoting. How many albums did you buy from 2011? Scratch that, how many albums did you listen to from 2011? And The Beastie Boys and Naughty By NAture doesn't count. Probably not much.
I guarantee none of yall have listened to Undun. Oneirology? R.E.K.S.? Introducin? The Greatest Story Never Told? Distant Relatives? In Case I Don't Make It? WAR? Armor Of God? All these albums are almost as good as Reasonable Doubt. Some maybe even better. Reasonable Doubt is a solid album but why do you think hip-hop has slowed down and not progressed from the 90's? Sure, it was the golden age of hip-hop. Jst because the listening age of rap has gone down and therefore lyrics are dumbed down.
@GemSh0t Chill. I loved Oneirology, R.E.K.S., Armor of God, Section.80, The Family Sign, For The Record, Elmatic, ect. But, Reasonable Doubt is a fucking classic. Calm down.
If you expect hip-hop to stay the same forever than no wonder it's dying. The only way for a genre to stay alive is to push it forward. If Drake came out with a song just like this it would get hate because hip-hop needs to progress, and 30 years later, it's time. So quit saying that hip-hop is dead because it's changing, that's exactly what we need. If it wasn't for Kanye West, 9th Wonder, The Alchemist, Exile, and artists like that than hip-hop would be near-dead. So quit complaining.

Original is sooo much better. This is only a 10/10. Jay-Z & Eminem are legends along side 2Pac, B.I.G., and A Tribe Called Quest. 5 Best rappers of all time. No ARGUMENT!!! IT'S A FACT!
@tiemyhands18 Naw, Elzhi is the modern day Nas, Hopsin is the modern day Eminem, J.Cole is the modern day 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar is the modern day Biggie, and Reks is the modern day Kool G Rap.
need some help here, someone else rapped on this beat i think it was a freestyle and then the beat turns into who shot ya by biggie. its on my mind but cant remember it lol
@othersideof8mile Okay, I'll kill myself because you disagree with what I have to say. That is my opinion, just like I believe Hitler was a good guy, and religion is full of lies. Good day.
Jay-Z samples Nas in this song in '96, but Jay had no idea that the same artist he sampled would come back 5 years later & destroy him in one of the best diss records ever made
Did this man just change his flow 3 times within the same verse? Good gawd....all while flawlessly spitting multisyllabaic and internal rhymes. Smh, it's almost unfair.
@BMTHdan lol you're stupid as fuck. rip hip hop? hahaha there were at least 5 songs released in 2010-2011 that were better than most the songs on your list. dmx is cool but there are better rappers coming up doing it now. kendrick lamar? action bronson? elzhi? all are better than dmx. you want a resurrection but one isn't needed, there's still dope hip-hop. it's people like you who refuse to buy new shit and thats why hip-hop aint getting far. stupid.
@GemSh0t Aight bro chill, i'm kinda findin that you never hear any of these artists you listed on the radio...the most used iten to listen to music with. @clubnarutoreaper only time will tell. he might fall off after making a few millions and go commercial i like j.cole cause some of the shit he spit is real.
fuck all that shit about jay z changing and how isnt the old him. thats the truth that he isnt the old him. he made reasonable doubt in the mid 90s. come on that was almost 20 years ago. the music hes makin noww is reflecting his personality for what it is nowww
@Eziokilla9595 You kidding me? J. Cole is golllddd, genius, so real, so clever, so goooodd. His more well-known songs (Work Out, Can't Get Enough) are awful, but if you listen to his mixtapes he's actually really amazing!
@Eziokilla9595 I agree with your statement on Jay-Z, & yeah I guess you're right about Cole...I just love him. I just think he's someone that will be remembered.
Reasonable Doubt is Jay best album, I wish in thier primes that Jay and Nas would do a song together before Jay dumb down his lyrics. Still top 5 best rapper ever HOVA
@sadcommunity what are you talking about? nas didn't have a version of this song. the song "the world is yours" by nas is nothing even remotely like this song and Nas only uses the dead presidents line once. im not saying this song wasnt good and nas' version would be better because this is one of the best songs ever but i just dont think you can say that nas had a version

fuck all that shit about jay z changing and how isnt the old him. thats the truth that he isnt the old him. he made reasonable doubt in the mid 90s. come on that was almost 20 years ago. the music hes makin noww is reflecting his personality for what it is nowww

@360itube You had me until you put J. Cole in there..
Eziokilla9595 3 months ago 5
@Eziokilla9595 You kidding me? J. Cole is golllddd, genius, so real, so clever, so goooodd. His more well-known songs (Work Out, Can't Get Enough) are awful, but if you listen to his mixtapes he's actually really amazing!
Elisa4Realz 2 months ago
@Elisa4Realz I love The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights, but Jay-Z is a rap legend.
Eziokilla9595 2 months ago
@Eziokilla9595 Oh yeah I get you! I'm not saying J. Cole is better...but I mean in MY opinion he IS up there :$
Elisa4Realz 2 months ago
@Elisa4Realz Not yet...He needs more time to grow, but he's on his way. But, no matter whatever anybody says, Jay-Z is Top 10, Period.
Eziokilla9595 2 months ago
@Eziokilla9595 I agree with your statement on Jay-Z, & yeah I guess you're right about Cole...I just love him. I just think he's someone that will be remembered.

Reasonable Doubt is Jay best album, I wish in thier primes that Jay and Nas would do a song together before Jay dumb down his lyrics. Still top 5 best rapper ever HOVA

this is defintly better than nas version .. but nas ny state of mind is better than empire state of mind
sadcommunity 3 months ago 20
@sadcommunity Nas never did an official version of this
SevenRayedGod 2 months ago
@sadcommunity what are you talking about? nas didn't have a version of this song. the song "the world is yours" by nas is nothing even remotely like this song and Nas only uses the dead presidents line once. im not saying this song wasnt good and nas' version would be better because this is one of the best songs ever but i just dont think you can say that nas had a version
mclovin435190 2 months ago
@sadcommunity The world is yours remix(from illmatic anniversary disc) is better than this
"My insight enlights vision
Words of wisdom
Niggas pay me intuition to listen
To the murder pargraphs of mysticism" - shits sick
