start using linux my friend is 100% safe no virus no malware . llinux its free just download the UBUNTU version on your desktop burn the iso file in cd  then install the linux version called UBUNTU . windows its unsafe annd you need to pay for everything

Ubuntu is nice and all.. but i say the best OS is download the Arch Linux distro and build your own os from scratch. It sounds hard, but it's really not. just go to the arch linux wiki and print out the instructions on building it. or just do it in VMware and have the instructions open in your browser. its just nice cuz you choose the desktop type, the file system, and the window manager. But i suggest practicing in a virtual machine first, in case you fuck up.

I still had a redirect virus though. So I continued scanning in Safe Mode without UBCD4Win this time. I ran:

Avira Antivir

Dr. Web

HijackThis

They picked up several more problems.

I finally read on google that it may be infected atapi.sys, but before manually fixing it I decided to use one last tool in my Malware Removal Kit that I've used for years.

ComboFix

After running this it deleted about 7 files and fixed the atapi.sys.

i got everything done with no errors, but the iso file that was created is 0 bytes in size...i've tried rebuilding it twice but i get the exact same results with no errors...i disabled y antivirus also and theres nothing on the forums about this problem...

Argh! here is my problem. I'm getting the following message on start up after the Gateway Logo disappears. The error message reads as follows: A bootable device has not been detected. consult troubleshooting manual etc... However, there seems to be no solution in the manual. You know guys, now that I think about it there is no reason that it shouldn't work for Vista too. It does not even boot into the main OS. It boots right off the disc, so in theory it shouldn't at all matter what OS your on.
