hey Vince 1Q...what happens when u arrive at ur destination early?..will they still let you unload and get benefits or they make u wait?...NYCE vids by the way!!!!!!!!!!
Do you get paid for miles when you have to go pick up a load? Say you drop in Chicago and then they want you to drive to Louisville, do you get paid for the empty miles? Thanks, and I can't wait for more videos. They are well done. Nice camera, what kind, and also what do you use as a tripod in the cab?
@journey95 Thank you. I am looking forward to your latest video. I think we are all wondering if you left the trucking industry or if you are just tired of doing the video show? You seemed like a very good trucker who enjoyed your job. You did a fantastic job on your videos.
Watching your videos makes me just want to be on the road again. One question for you. Are you married? If so it sure makes it difficult to be on the road all the time with family at home. If you aren't it isn't that bad to be an over the road truck driver. Trucking just gets in your blood. Once you've done, its hard to leave it. The open road beckons you.
Man, look at all that work you do that you don't get paid for. Ouch. I got my CDL last year through a community college, but finished it up right around the time the economy tanked, not too mention that the area I live in doesn't have much of a freight base. Needless to say, I didn't get a driving job, but when I watch some of these videos and realize how much time and work you guys put in, only to not get paid for half of it, I don't feel so bad about not getting hired.
hope to be driving within about 6 weeks. hope i can keep a positive attitude like you. please for all truckers. whats your secret? think of your answer like a public service announcement . got my permit and cant wait to get on the road.thanks for your great videos and professional attitude you do trucking a real service. keep it up.
@journey95 Hey bro, I need an honest opinion, all jokes aside! i'm 22 years old and i'm a college graduate and i have had no fucking lock finding a job with this degree other then shiity minimum wage jobs. I was thinking of paying 6 grand to go to a trucking school. is it worth it? will i get full time hours right away? i'm 22 years old and i dont have a fmaily, i was wondering if trucking will get me through to get myself a down payment on a house and lease a car.
@jesusonXTC Dude Don't waste the money on a trucking school, if you don't have to. Find a company to put you through their trucking school. Then work for them and the training is free. Money wise, that is up to you. The more money you want to make the more miles you have to drive. I recommed renting a tiny place that is really cheap while you drive since you'll be home so little and don't blow your money and you should come out pretty good.
@Sauron767 yeah some companies Are pretty stupid like that. I know Prime Inc will get everything for you, and I think Werner will too. But in all honosty I wouldnt go with a big ass company like that anyways. I got my CDL through a Community College and got a job with a guy who only has like 7 trucks. Never short of miles or loads and I am not just tied down to one thing, I can haul cattle, refer, pnuematic tanks, or flatbed. It is a better life in a smaller company from what I can tell.
@journey95 I notice you have a TV your truck is it wireless? Does it come with the truck?Or do you have to buy it your self.If You do were would I buy one???
@fj9fl Thanks man you know im tyin to get some big rigs but im always buisy you know so i get what I can get but thanks. You can subscribe if you want I mean I subscribed for you.

Hi Vince i'm 16 and thinking of becoming a truck driver and i was wandering if you can tell me what company you work for thank you and keep making great videos.
great videos vince..im actually leaving out this friday 2/5/10 to go out to salt lake for a 2 week refresher course and orientation for my first trucking job. stay safe out there man and keep up making the videos there awesome and keep me looking foward to being out there soon
Your videos are the best I have seen, keep up the good work. They tell the story of what our life is like. Please let them know what kind of hours we put in and the rest, you know what I mean. A full day of a trucker, boring parts and all. Thx
Man am I ever sick of the long haul BS. 15 years and I'm thinking of packing it in. All the long and nutty hours and all the unpaid work we do. I'm tired of it all. It was fun in the old days but not anymore.
these are great videos, educational and gives a person insight as to what the life is like out there on the open road.....Be safe out there! Thank you for all your time and efforts that make these videos possible...God Bless
Vince, How many miles you get a week it seems to me you do ALOT of the north east, and stay east of I 35, If you dont have a family you may make better running west. Just an idea
Vince thanks for making my day. My husband is a trucker and is gone right now. This helped me see what he does and goes threw. I go out with him time to time and would love to know what type of camra you use. Can't wait to see this months. Be Safe
Excellent video vince. You really get the life of a truck driver cross to people. Really sucks you have to pay sombody to re-stack your pallets over here in the u.k they just talk to us like idiots then leave us in a corner to do it ourselves! lookin forward to your next vid. Take care.
been watching your videos for sometime and I wanted to be a trucker for a long time but I get bad migraines that I think would prevent me from doing it do many truckers get those? Well keep on going cause I live my trucker life thru u. Later
I really like your videos, you should show the side of trucking that doesnt get published. It should start off with calling your dispatcher and asking for directions to a shipper or cons. and they talk to you like a child. Then move onto the rude customers and how about the lot lizards waking you up at 3 am wanting to pleasure you......trucking...what a love hate relationship
Keep 'em coming thru 2010 too! Hope you have a great New Year, and thanks for all the help and awesome videos this year. Hopefully, I can join you out there someday, and maybe we can meet up for dinner!!! haha!
Vince, I have enjoyed watching your 17 "the open road" videos this year in 2009! You let us in on what truck drivers have to go through daily with the driving and the shipping from place to place. Love the fun dance music you play in the background such as DJ Tiesto and some trance artists. Have a Happy New Year in 2010!
I know I shouldnt but I always feel like I am cheating if I dont drive the full 11 hours. Seem to me its better to drive as much as you can while you can that way if later if you can not drive as much because your sick or something, most of the work is done.
Vince, great videos! I have been off the road for awhile, but after watching your videos, I am getting back out there. I am actually going for a drive test this afternoon here in Colorado Springs. I hope that we can meet up sometime for a cup. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Be safe out there and Happy New Years!!

Hey Vince. Another fantastic video. I am looking forward to more. I leave for CDL school Jan. 4th for three weeks. I can't wait. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have learned a ton just from watching your videos. Thanks again. Hope to hear from you soon.
hey Vince, how do you like hauling reefer freight? i'm talking to a company here in los angeles that hauls reefer in all 48. let me know how you like it. thanks
As always Vince, another great episode. Your adventures are always interesting. I so agree with you on the truck parking. Here in Ontario Canda they are closing all of the service centres (sort of like truck stops) for re-vamping...but that could take up to 3-4 yrs to get them all done. Just makes me shake my head!! Where are drivers suposed to park when all the stops are full!! Take Care and stay safe out there!
Vince Love the videos and your outlook on what your doing. Great Job. I know you are from High Point, NC, I am from Yadkinviille, NC. Close to Winston Salem. I have my CDL's Class A and have thought about going otr. Never drove otr but love driving local here for the NCDOT. Watching your videos makes me want to do it. Keep up the good work man. Looking forward to your next one. Be safe. Brad
Vince, OUTSTANDING video. I recently subscribed to your channel and I LOVE IT. I watched all of your posts and waited anxiously for #17. I am reformed OTR. I work local here now and watching your video's brings back good memories. Cheers to you and whenever you come up to Canada, your always welcomed at my door. Keep up the good work and keep the rubber on the ground.

I still don;t understand why you had to pay to get your crates set upright. Imean couldn't you have done that yourself?
