motherclare... i read some of the comments on this page... And i see that religion can be very dangerous.. i disagree with many christians about using the bible as some miracle book. We all should have direction relationship with god that is the spiritual life all knowing. religion requires faith without knowing. When you know god you'll understand bible, koran, and many other spiritual book. Spiritual awakening is most important. And that is what every religions are trying to teach..
Mary is not equal to Jesus. Jesus is God-made-man. Mary is a creature of God chosen to be the Mother of God. Mother Teresa never believed that Mary is co-equal to Her Divine Son Jesus. The title of co-redeemer when applied to Mary only means co-operater not co-equal. eg When Mary said to Gabriel ''be it done unto me according to your word'' she she was co-operating with God. Also you could say that the apostles were co-workers with Jesus in His public ministry but never, never co-equal!!
Actually, Mother Teresa was lobbying the pope to declare Mother Mary "Co-Redemptrix." I know, because I had the opportunity to sign along with many other petitioners the document she was submitting to the pope. Nothing in the word "Co-Redemptrix" would mean anything less than just what it says. To say that word just means cooperating is absurd. If you co-direct something, for example, you are equally in charge of it, not just an agreeable subordinate.
Whether or not the catholic Church accepts the title "co-redemptrix" for Mary, (and many catholics believe that it will be accepted eventually) the Church's teaching on Mary remains clear: Mary is a creature, her son is God her Creator. Jesus and Mary are therefore clearly not equal. If you wish to believe something else that's up to you.
I am really not interested in theological debates that stem from anyone's intellectual ideas garnered from other sources about what is true. As a mystic, I respect what people have experienced and know from deep with from those experiences. If you have a relationship with Jesus and/or Mary, why don't you ask them about this. Get from the Source what the real position is that we should hold for Mother Mary.
you are saying what is right except the catholic church will never except the title co redeemer becuase it is heretical Jesus is alone redeemer the thing is What john pual the 2 was teaching about mary wasnt heretical but when using the title co redeemer then it is heretical that is why it was not pronounced infaluble by the pope
Have you ever wondered what is not in the scriptures? Consider that if you read all of Jesus' words in the New Testament out loud, it will only take 3+ hours, and he taught for 3 years and lived for 33. So likely not everything is there, right? This is why one needs a relationship with him and with God to be able to ask him: Do you mind if I talk to your mother? Try it and see what he says.

Where in Scripture does it tell us we should come through Mary?
Where does Scripture say that Mary bore our sins?
Where does Scripture does it say that Mary shed her blood for our sins?
Where in Scripture does God permit making contact with the dead?
