From what I have seen from Campbell so far as a Raider, he basically wont lose the game for you but he wont single handedly win a game for you either. He needs good play makers around him to be successfull and i think he has them in oakland.

You cant blame a team's wins and losses on the QB. Its a team game and Campbell cant carry the Redskins old O-Line, unproven coaching staff, make shift RBs, and under achieving WRs. Campbell posted his best stats this year despite one of the worst teams in Redskins HISTORY!.He's the only starter from start to finish who got better this year as everyone else got worse (Cooley,Portis, Moss,Haynesworth,Landry, Rogers) But Shanahan will turn it around and just watch Campbell get even better.

also, bruce gradkowski is a good qb. he has proven than. the real raider flaw is poor protection. we lead the lead in sacks with 40 i think and we have also given up 36. our o line has a rookie LT but hes getting better. im just saying our line is too shitty to really put all the blame on the QB. our o line doest even run block that well, mcfadden just breaks 3 or so tackles every big play. so yeah, raiders weakness is the o line.

A QB is only as good as his O-line and his knowledge of the offense. Yes he made some bonehead plays ,and he got sacked 40+ times but STILL got career highs in everything, and played ALL 16 games.

Zorn was calling WCO plays but he wasn't scripting them like WCO coaches normally do, throwing early to take the lead and running late against the tired defense. Zorn was running early and throwing once the game got out of hand.
The Redskin MO is not to appreciate the talent they have. They dumped Trent Green who went on to become a pro-bowler then Brad Johnson who proceeded to win the Superbowl. So another stunt wouldn't surprise me. Campbell out-performed every QB they wanted to replace him with but they are still out shopping for a QB.

Play Campbell if it doesn't work go with Colt Brennan we don't know what either of them can or can't do because Zorn was a horrible coach.
Are you reading what I'm writing? I didn't mention the QB rating. I separated Campbell under Zorn and under Sherm. His stats are decent. If you want performance his team had the lead minutes left to play then missed kicks or defensive let-downs led to the loss. QB's don't win games teams do. The 5 games you mentioned about him posting decent stats but not being effective, he played top defenses and absorbed 20 of the 43 sacks. He did okay in those games. Its hard to be effective on your back.
You don't want to give him credit for playing well when they were behind and you don't want to give him credit for taking the lead in big games late in the season either. You don't want to give him a break with injuries to the line and RB's. If Zorn wasn't the problem why did they stop him from calling plays? Jason Campbell has grown significantly in this offense. I didn't like Zorn or the WCO at first but combining it with Joe Gibbs rushing attack, its becoming something to watch. Colt Brennan will be a career backup. Jason Campbell is the man for the next 10 years at least.

You cant blame a team's wins and losses on the QB. Its a team game and Campbell cant carry the Redskins old O-Line, unproven coaching staff, make shift RBs, and under achieving WRs. Campbell posted his best stats this year despite one of the worst teams in Redskins HISTORY!.He's the only starter from start to finish who got better this year as everyone else got worse (Cooley,Portis, Moss,Haynesworth,Landry, Rogers) But Shanahan will turn it around and just watch Campbell get even better.

Both are garbadge but plz don't give jason any credit. Mcfadden is your best player and has turned into a very good RB. That and due to your special teams and big plays from defense. Jason pathetric 12 td's 8 ints doesn't impress me at all. He hasn't shown me any OOO or Awws the only legit game Ive seen him have is the Seahawks game. Other than that he has super fast WR's that can catch 5 yards and turn it into a TD. Just Ask Mcfadden the guy caught a bal for 10 yards than boom

I can't compare him to a QB who throws all game long but Jason has been getting the job done. The phins and steelers just man handled our O line. just like we did we san diego. Point is, Jason is a good and solid QB. by no means the best but he is playing a lot smarter in a city that is suppotring him 100%

also, bruce gradkowski is a good qb. he has proven than. the real raider flaw is poor protection. we lead the lead in sacks with 40 i think and we have also given up 36. our o line has a rookie LT but hes getting better. im just saying our line is too shitty to really put all the blame on the QB. our o line doest even run block that well, mcfadden just breaks 3 or so tackles every big play. so yeah, raiders weakness is the o line.

A QB is only as good as his O-line and his knowledge of the offense. Yes he made some bonehead plays ,and he got sacked 40+ times but STILL got career highs in everything, and played ALL 16 games.

@dwid920 he's afraid because he has no time to throw. his progression as a QB has halted due to the redskins' lack of an offensive line, he's constantly worried about being hit so his mental development has all but stopped. as a skins fan i sure hope we bring him back next year with a revamped offensive line.

AND he's had a different system to learn each year! he rarely throws picks too, i really think he's underrated but that's not to say he's a top tier QB, rather a middle of the road kind of guy with pros and cons, not like a drew brees, tom brady etc. but not every team can have an elite QB... again i say keep him. anyway that's my two cents.

ok dont speak until u watch football....ok???.....jason campbell is the 4th most sacked QB in the nfl...no o-line = no deep ball...he has no time in the pocket he even gets sacked on three step drops....we had 6 linemen go out this year make it 7....and a career with no receiver over 6 feet tall. last game they played he was tied for leading rushing yards with 13....and u blame him? last year 6-2 with healthy o-line 2-6 when the line went down

Because he was un proven....and if we are calling out stats call out 20 touchdowns while getting sacked 41 times this year....call out the fact that our run game was missing....call out the fact that campbell, despite all the sacks giving up by the o-line, is still ranked 9th in completion precentages.....or what about the passing yards against New Orleans two years in a row...and no one over rates him.....no one says he is the best at anything nor do they call him great...they say he is solid

The Redskins with Sherm held fourth quarter leads 6 out of 10 games but the defense and special teams couldn't finish. With a full season, better defense and special teams he could have gone 4-2 first 6 and 6-4 last 10 to finish 10-6.
Zorn was calling WCO plays but he wasn't scripting them like WCO coaches normally do, throwing early to take the lead and running late against the tired defense. Zorn was running early and throwing once the game got out of hand.

The Redskin MO is not to appreciate the talent they have. They dumped Trent Green who went on to become a pro-bowler then Brad Johnson who proceeded to win the Superbowl. The stats are good, he gets the team in the lead until the kicker or defense blows it. If Vinatieri blows his kicks is Brady a worse QB? If Porter drops the INT is Brees a worse QB?
A lot of QB's are busts and even when the are good they take 3-5 years to develop. Why to sacrifice the next 2-3 years and if we're wrong start over again?
Play Campbell if it doesn't work go with Colt Brennan we don't know what either of them can or can't do because Zorn was a horrible coach.

Are you reading what I'm writing? I didn't mention the QB rating. I separated Campbell under Zorn and under Sherm. His stats are decent. If you want performance his team had the lead minutes left to play then missed kicks or defensive let-downs led to the loss. QB's don't win games teams do. The 5 games you mentioned about him posting decent stats but not being effective, he played top defenses and absorbed 20 of the 43 sacks. He did okay in those games. Its hard to be effective on your back.

You don't want to give him credit for playing well when they were behind and you don't want to give him credit for taking the lead in big games late in the season either. You don't want to give him a break with injuries to the line and RB's. If Zorn wasn't the problem why did they stop him from calling plays? You don't have anything to prove your points. You are stating a weak position. Veteran players, the team management and numbers confirm the problems were the play-calling, the offensive line, over-conservative defense by the front 7, defensive missed assignments in the secondary and special teams. The receivers and QB stepped-up by the end of the year.

The Lions game the Skins were behind 13-0 thanks to a failed 4th and goal conversion and a 99 yd TD drive. But Campbell lead a rally and ran out of time on the Detroit 30. They lost 19-14. Campbells numbers 65% 340YD 2TD 1INT pretty decent. Right?
The Redskins held the lead in the 4th quarter 9 times, 3 times they trailed slightly, the opp. led by 13pts or more 4 times. In the "blowouts" Campbell was sacked 20 times. Somethings wrong with the OL when that happens. Right?

Rams, Panthers, Bucs, Eagles, Broncos, Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Chargers 9 times. They held on to win 4 times and blew the lead 5 times.
Once Sherm took over when Campbell was sacked less than 4 times Washington held the lead in the 4th quarter. When he was sacked 4 times or more they were beaten by more than 10 points.
Is the Line the problem or the QB?

Ask any one if they would trade there franchise QB for a great OL and avg QB?. And building an OL is way easier than getting a franchise QB, JC isnt one hes a 1st round bust

With no running game to get 3rd and 4th and shorts or close out victories with no pass protection during third and longs and two minute drills they weren't going to win no matter who played QB. Now I was one of the people who said we need Mark Sanchez but I'll give Jason another year to show some improvement. Kelly and Thomas should be healthy this year and Santana, Cooley, Portis, and Randle El are still good and defence is stacked now so we should be ok. I'm a die hard skins fan until I die, but if Jason Campbell doesn't produce this year, I'll personally go to Daniel Snyder and demand at the very least a look at Colt Brennan. I'm sick and tired of the excuses made for Campbell every year. This is the NFL, either you can play up to this level or you can't, and Campbell has one more year to show he's the real deal. If not Brennan will get a shot. He didn't throw for 5,549 yards, 58 touchdowns just caue.

Jason Campbell has grown significantly in this offense. I didn't like Zorn or the WCO at first but combining it with Joe Gibbs rushing attack, its becoming something to watch. Colt Brennan will be a career backup. Jason Campbell is the man for the next 10 years at least.
