what I love about this video is that he starts his rhythms off with something that makes you think "I could do that", then pulls some sick syncopation out of his bag!
DAMN he is good!!! I'm sitting and learning/playing the Jeremy Cloak "traditionel" style, but i'm not even close to do what this guy can do on a stick. Damn his is brilliant!!!!
Very smooth and Bassy sounds from this Yidaki! And Matjaki's playing style is just Wonderful! This Video is Sublime and Mesmerizing, with the interplay of Yidaki and Wave sounds.Cheers Guan!!!
Great. That's the nicest hearing "F" I have ever heard. He sounds fantastic, his playing still has a bit of rawness to it that I really like, especially his use of his voice is great. Thanx for the vid. How does Dhapa relate to Ngongu Ganambarr?
This has got to be one of the BEST of the BEST, period. Everytime I see this clip it gets better and better. Quincey is at least on par now with Larry and may be reigned in as the new young mysterious master.
that yidaki has a sublime sound - would love an F like that .. and Quincey sounds really good on it. What an improvement on his already fantastic playing.

INCREDIBLE !
What a style, and what a sound !
In the open air, with wind and waves all around... and still that powerfull and deep sound smashing out of the bell !
I love the roundness and sharpness at the same time of the toots !
Marvellous !

Actually when i close my eyes and listen it sounds EXACTLY like Larry. Ofcourse Guan with his more experienced ear will probably disagree.

There's a bit of Larry and Marrilaga in Matjaki's playing.

Woah! What a gorgeous instrument, both in sound and decoration. I especially liked when Matjaki put the "growl" into that deep, resonant sound.
As always, the ocean makes such a great accompanyment. :)

That was really great, the surf in the background was a nice touch too.
