  • Francis Dunnery the vocalist now lives in America and often visits home as he is the patron of many charities including Starting Point Cumbria. A great man with a vision to help people with addiction problems.

  • Well, it's still in my top 10 of 80's Hits :) and I think the vid is excellent!

  • little known Band from Egremont, Cumbria, they done more than folk know

  • Francis Dunnery is alive and doing very well and living in New York where he is a record producer!!

  • hes cute x

  • Stuart broad lol

  • This was one of my 80s air drumming songs. And I don't care who knows it.

  • @PukkatronicAllstars: Mine too!

  • excellent.

  • Hey! Fells like being 16 again! Yes that makes me old......I Know!

  • loved underneath my pillow on this album! stezyrezy

  • Love this song, got their first 3 albums and the greatest hits all on CD and they are fantastic, they should have been massive along with Glass Tiger.

  • Havent heard this for at least twenty years!

  • Great song let down by the video

  • look at 3.14 where song pauses- total mymeing but its stil a great song

  • 1980s, great decade.

  • There is no song more 80's than this!

  • what a great song so much memories i wonder were they are now ???

  • Max Headroom on vocals, Andy Carroll on drums.

  • @planetrockford excellent

  • Production meeting notes: I've a great video idea for this! Let's have space-pirate monsters attacking a village and horseriding heroes saving the day with laser cannons and light sabers! Forget it we can't afford it, let's just film the band in a white room and mix it with scenes of driving about at night. Yeah, ok... but can we have chroma-key effects?

  • @Cornutopia What an hysterical response! No seriously, you're not that funny, your ideas are quite obvious babes. Now go and do something creative yourself.

  • @farfisa I do. And I cut way more corners than they did here :)

  • @Cornutopia then we're evens. I thought I produced a good vid.

  • I almost forgot about this! It just re-entered my head from nowhere and I found it on here. Weird, lol.

  • they are still playing seen them a couple of times in very small intimate venues in cumbria and they still rock the stage even without Dunnery

  • what a f,,,,ing awesome band , some body, tell me where they are now? what happened to them?

  • @montyponty1000 TOO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THE LEAD SINGER AND DRUMMER WERE BROTHERS AND THE DRUMMER WAS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH AND HIS BROTHER JUST STOPPED AT LEAST THATS MY MEMORY

  • Looked like a Rover 2000

  • Looked like a Rover 2000

  • What was the car they were filming from? You can see the reflection sometimes, but I couldn't make it out :-)

  • dick nolan is my cousin:D

  • I played this song to death when I was a teenager! I absolutely love it! Thank God for You Tube :0DDDD

  • I HATED the 80s, but I LOVE it Bites.

  • Utter shit

  • "They scrambled down the mountain shooting reclaimed all the bandits looteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!"

  • @hinkyponky

Yeah, sometimes I forget that It Bites wrote this song. I listen almost exclusively to the material from their second and third albums (both of which are fairly brilliant, if inconsistent).

  • lead guy looks like a cross between peter gabriel and shane warne, freaky!!!

  • Leonardo di Caprio or what? LOL

  • Lead singer lookslike dennis wise.

  • tunzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Video's awful, fashion's dreadful - even worse that it's making a comeback, but there's something annoyingly catchy about this song!

  • The epitomie of the 1980's!

i wish i could go back and relive my childhood : (

  • Legolas and Draco Malfoy started a band? And in the 80s too?

WHY DID I NOT KNOW OF THIS SOONER?!

  • Music totally out of synch with video. But good song!

  • Great!

Shame the music isn't in time with the video

  • I remember when I was 11 loving this song. Isnt it funny how songs can take you back to that time!!

  • Prog rock pop!

  • no one else sounds like these guys they shud hav got laods of radio play for there other stuff en all. I am just downloading the new version of this tune.

  • Love this track, if only for bringing me the joy that is It Bites! You know they have re-recorded it for charity? - Cumbrian Floods. Check out the FB group - its easy to find using 'Calling all the Heroes'

  • The Riverside newcastle,Newcastle Mayfair, Astoria London, hammersmith odeon...best live act i've ever seen...and i've seen the best.

  • lol very good

  • its out of sync lol

  • @shaunna0127 yeah but only by about a week! lol

  • @markturner1970 lol very good

  • gr8 tune

    five stars from meeeeeeee

  • saw these at the retford dog house. top song

  • great tune!

  • Master song!

  • is it just me or does the lead singer look like a young Draco Malfoy??

  • dig that 80's white guy dance!!!

  • Video IS dodgy but Great Fooking track - This wouldn't have dated so much if it weren't for the keyboard sounds imho.

  • no dress sense at all lol

  • This is why the 80s were great

  • Great song.

  • nice pants

  • utter classic!!

  • I remember seeing these guys live in the corner house hotel in Annan when I was a young man.....they were superb!!

  • A very bombastic song certainly as the drums kick in at 0:27,1:32 & 2:37 respectively. A very good year for music 1986. This was merely a one hit wonder and not from a particularly good album. The video is OK but its the guys in the studeo jamming interpersed with shots of shop frontages & streets from a Rover driving fast ( you can notice the car at the start of the video) On listening again it still kicks ass.

  • Yeah, funny that this was IB's biggest hit, but from their weakest album. Once Around The World, their second album, is bloody amazing, and Eat Me In St Louis (their third and last) also has some outstanding tracks (although a couple of duffers as well).

  • To be fair, Francis and the boys were only just getting exposure.

Most bands who put their first album only really have ONE good tune among forgetablle filler and throways.

  • I was 14. Had the album on cassette, wasn't the best album ever and this was the best song on it.

  • Classic! Had this on vinyl, loved it.

  • Always loved this song. First time I've seen the video. Shame it's lousy.

  • I haven't heard this song since a trip to Ireland in 1986, and it's been stuck in my head since then. I couldn't remember the full name of the song or the name of the band. Wow.

  • get their new album THE TALL SHIPS, with a new voc/guitarist..

  • its like watching britney spears performing. the lip sync

  • Sod the lip sync...good stuff innit?

  • Good ! But why is the music not synced with the video ?

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Fabulous song. One of those songs you got up to dance to at a disco!
