Fox news is not give impartial news. The US people must be completely ignorant if they believe this Republican funded news network & think it is impartial. Especially when they put a loaded poll on the internet. Australia has a successful Government health system which people still can chose private if they want for extras. US health care system is ranked as one of the lowest in developed countries. Health care is a nations investment in its people not a cost burden.
CREATE COMPETITION BY REGULATING THE INSURANCE COMPANIES TO PRODUCE POLICIES THAT ARE MORE AFFORDABLE. THIS IS SIMPLE BUSINESS 101 NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. WHY IS NEITHER PARTY OFFERING THIS GOOD BUSINESS SOLUTION, WHY? PERHAPS BOTH PARTIES ARE IN THE POCKETS OF THE GIANT HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES. LETS USE OUR VOTE AND MAKE THIS GREAT NATION, ONCE AGAIN GREAT, BY CREATING OUR OWN SOLUTIONS AND NOT FOLLOW THE FAILURE OF EUROPEAN HEALTH CARE.
As a health care provider I can tell you a lot of Canadians come to the US for major surgery--CABG, Neurosurgery to name a few---often in this case because Canada doesn't have the surgeons skilled enough to perform a lot of difficult brain surgeries. Most recently a leader of one of the Provence's chose to fly to the US for his heart surgery.
I am confused. In Europe it works, I see that from my ow experience and from the data. Now, maybe it works different for your country but why should our policy not work in your country? And don't give me crap that it doesn't work here because it does. Look up the data for yourself.
@philateliceun uhm no it wont work here..since u dont live here u dont know that becuz of the way the plan is set up, which is just the like the healthcare canada has,we have canadians coming into the u.s. just to see doctors..why? becuz with the government controlling the healthcare they are not worried about you, or what ur problem is. Canadians come here and say they need surgery now, because they would have to have been on a waiting list in canada
could you support your claim of "we have canadians coming into the u.s. just to see doctors" and "because they would have to have been on a waiting list in canada" I Lived in Canada for a good portion of my life and when i went to the doctor i never was placed on a waiting list of any sort. I was even hospitalized for a short period, and again no waiting list. please show me the statistics of Canadians seeking health care in America.
3 days ago, I heard DeMint advocate his "alternate" plan where the government gives every family $5000 to buy their own health care...either through tax credits for those that pay tax or vouchers for those that don't.
$5K times 70 million families times ten years is 3.5 trillion dollars. Or double what those "free spending" dems are proposing.
On top of that..a family can't buy a decent policy for $5k so many would still go without insurance.
Government run health care will fail because gov't employees are not efficient. But at the same time, they will be so competitive with the private healthcare industry everyone will bail on for-profit insurance. They will be this competitive because they will get a 300 billion subsidy from the government that can easily overcome the 700 billion in profits that the insurance company has to work with.
Government-run healthcare is extremely bad - but extremely excellent - at the EXACT SAME time!
I agree with everything he has said. Unfortunately, every time I watch senate videos such as this, it seems that words fall only on deaf ears. It seems that all the chairs are empty and the only ones listening are the Dems who let it in one ear and right out the other.

This guy is a douche. All the job loss problems and the economy is mostly because of the previous presidency. Its just convenient for the GOP to attack the guy who has to clean up the mess they did.
Your right. The GOP's relentless attack rhetoric will ultimately blow up in their faces again. We've already seen the horrible mess they've made of this country, socially, militarily, foreign policy-wise, and economicly. So it is no surprise they are now trying to tear down someone else's efforts to rebuild this nation.
I like Obama, however unless he abandons fascist policies and come under the control of saner minds within his administration, his presidency will not succeed.
My what a speech....makes total sense. Allow for cross state lines private insurance competition rather than this draconian mess the prez, who admits to not even reading, wants passed.
Obama calls it "reform" but its not its government take over and everything they touch turns to shit, Thank YOU for LISTENING Senator Demint because there is only regret when things as big as this are pushed through in a hurry and many americans are becoming increasingly suspicious of these tactics and also distrustful that our representatives are REALLY reading these things and if they are more devoted to their parties then their fellow countrymen. We are behind you!

Ok, you say he is a douche. That's a matter of personal opinion.
Now let's deal with facts, tell me what he said in this video that you don't agree with.
