This movie was so stressful to watch in the beginning and by the end, I only stuck around for Tilda. She was amazing. George Clooney however played his usual annoying charismatic character with a sentimental side which resulted in... boredom and unoriginality.

@idonttan Let t get this clear . I was blown away by tilda swinton in this movie . Already favorably impressed by her in the beach .But george clooney is also a valuable actor , just another kind . He's a competent leading men performing both a role of icon of masculanity (very classy actor ) and of social awareness (opening interesting and challenging movies). And like coen movies proved he's able to mock his own image . There s only so much he can do and he can t get method with this role.

she was awesome in this, that final scene won her the Oscar. Absolutely amazing, what a nasty bitch, she was so good I felt sorry for her at the end.

Saw the movie on DVD yesterday - so stupid I didn't see it on the silver screen but... I loved all characters. Very strong cast. Also Sidney Pollack was very convincing! Hats of to Swinton, Clooney and Wilkinson (which I also liked in The Madness of King George).

I was very surprised as well. Great actors at work are the best to watch. Kate should of got it. Do you know how they judge the oscars? Im not sure? Is it a panel of lot of people? Ive alway wondered?

Congrats Tilda job well done I loved her in the Chronicals of Narnia as the Snow Queen badazz.Also it's amazing how British actors can drop accents.
