This is bullshit. My Aunt is disabled. Her son has been cleaning her house since he was 12. The house is clean, dust free, and the laundry is always done. The kid goes to school and plays sports. If a kid can clean a three bedroom house, a grown man can do it! What is wrong with people?

For me, I know that it's easier to clean a mess as soon as it's made than let it set and pile up until I have major cleaning to do. I am lazy, but clean. I believe that most people on these shows are just lazy pigs.

@tadge72 Oh no, I think it's another, more common story - the divorce has simply exposed that he hasn't got any housecleaning skills at all: first his mommy did all the cleaning, then his wife.

And I wouldn't be surprised that his wife divorced him because he didn't help around house at all. I've had a flat-mate like that. He's not a bad guy, but him having no regard to living conditions and me being unable to keep up with cleaning it was a BIG issue. I'm glad that we're not flat-mates anymore.

Most normal healthy Americans keep their homes relatively clean.
