I had just gotten my m3 back from the shop with a new turbo kit running 27psi and 523rwhp and was raped by a 350 sbc powered bug that weighed less than 2000lbs, that truely broke my heart but with it came lots of respect. I need a beetle and a 502, somehow i'll make it work.

I worked for a guy in DAllas once who put a v8 from an oldsmobile in the back of a 4door beetle. It replaced the back seat and trunk, and I think the rear end was a shortened chevy. The firewall was right behind the drivers seat and the fan pumped air through the passenger windows and out the trunk vents.

look at the other vid. theres no space in the rear as they are moved fairly far back in the cab and a 427 cant fit where that lil stock engine fits so id have to assume its a front engine.

If I had that bug, I would splice the pipes into 2 just after the headers, with one pipe leading to a silencer exhaust and the other dumping out the side with an electronically controlled valve between the two. Pull up to a light beside a ricer civic and rev into the silencers, no problem, and then flick the switch and BWAARRRRRRRRRRR ownage.
