If something like this had happened to me when I was a kid, I would have shit my pants.

Today I understand that basically all of the glitches in the original Pokemon games were because of numbers. Apparently here the game glitches into dumping variables in the memory to the sound handling loop. I.E. if there is a variable 25 in memory, instead of doing what it's supposed to do with it, the game plays a sound file with the value 25.

Numbers, numbers, everything in Pokemon is numbers...
