KISS absolutely rocked the place putting on one of the best live shows i've ever seen and Sabbath....well....they were pretty high and it showed.

soon after that i think KISS was booted off the bill and started headlining their own tour.

Visually they were such a shot in the arm back in '74. However, musically I've always found them to be incredibly thin and lacking. I'd have to agree with an old Melody Maker review that Pretenders' front woman Chrissie Hynde wrote back then where she said, "I guess every fart has it's own little pleasure." A TRULY FRIGHTENING BAND could have taken the visuals of KISS and combined them with the incredible lyrics and musicanship of Blue Oyster Cult. That would have been insane!

I wasn't ten years old yet in the 70s and I thought they were the greatest and coolest looking band ever. My imagination went fucking crazy just staring at their album covers, and I would just go nuts listening to their music. I owe my life in rock n roll because of this band! KISS FOREVER!!!

And sorry for all the guys who adores the old KISS (with ace and peter)

But this was the BEST concert from KISS I ever saw....and I saw them pretty often

I love Ace but....KISS didnt loose quality after him leaving the band.

To me, there was something very cool about KISS in the early days, especially the first two albums. They sort of have this very under ground, heavy sound that seems reflective of the times, culture, etc.

For those asking "Where is this from?"...

It's from a fan-made video called "KISS: A Visual Evolution" and it chronicles KISS visually, in print and live, from the beginning to Dynasty. The production was narrated by KISS, with sound clips culled from various interviews, some later than Dyasty, but fitting the content. It was billed as a "KISSVision Exclusive" though I don't know who produced it orifginally. It was later used as part of "20 Years Of KISStory" on Manchester Public Access TV.

Well, it wasn't in very good condition. It was (originally) folded in half 2 times and had been open and refolded so many times as well as hung and then rehung so many times that it was probably considered a 5/10 condition wise so... Anyways, the guy who bought it put it on his Kiss website store for sale and was asking $500 for it but after a year, it was STILL for sale! I may see if he still has it and if so, buy it back from him. My brothers friends name is on the back of it. Great memories!

He gave it to me because he knew just how HUGE a Kiss fan I was. I remember that day very well. I was so happy to have this awesome poster to add to my GIGANTIC Kiss poster collection. Well, about a year and a half ago I decided to put it up for auction on ebay to see how much I could get for it and this is when I learned that it was considered to be the FIRST OFFICIAL Kiss poster! I had found it at my moms house in a box and had forgotten all about it. (con'td)

The pic at :56 was their first "official" poster that was released back in '74 and I HAD IT! I'll be brief as I can: My brothers friend walked into a record store when Kiss' first album was released and this store had that poster hanging on the wall right by the front door. Well, he asked the owner if he could buy it from him and he said "No" so a few days later, my brothers friend went in the store and just took it off the wall and RAN! LOL! Well, about 2 years later he GAVE it to me! (cont'd)
