  • Demais!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • do i smell a new guitar hero expert song?

  • Der mit Abstand bekannteste unbekannteste Musiker ????

  • Wow. Lamest Roy I've heard....

  • He makes that Tele CRY.

  • Them pinch harmonics kick ass

  • No effects allowed or needed. Roy is playing.

  • He had a way of squeezing the harmonics out of his Tele.

  • 3:20 JESUS CHRIST

  • Making it look easy and effortless, but it's so not, man he had skills!

  • talk to me tele

  • Roy was a wonderful friend of mind knew him bk in Dc--he had so much-still here with his talent ant great sound!!!

  • imagine how hard it is to remember the hole solo ^^

  • Have y'all heard the news? This recording at ROCKPALAST seems to be released pretty soon on DVD

  • Best part of the solo is around 0.26 :D

  • fuck me senseless, that guitar was getting slammed. awesome.

  • Love Roy. What blows me away is how he wears the axe up like that. Sign of old school training, more modern players wear lower to avoid stress on the wrists. having learned both, the higher position is good for burning rubber over the twelfth fret but makes for uncomfortable chording in the lower registers.

  • I did not know you could do that with a guitar. Beautiful.

  • Roy really knew how to make a guitar sing! Outstanding performance.

  • The teacher of David Gilmour

  • @joke551

Who is the teacher of David Gilmour?

  • @oeddie99 Alguien

  • @joke551 It may have been somebody but it wasn't Roy.

  • saw him at th Crossroads at least 30 times A guitarist's guitar player

  • @biggerturtle You're a very fortunate fellow. Would love to hear some of those performances at the XRoads.

  • Holy fucking shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @biggerturtle put's Clapton to shame

  • Quiet everybody. God is playing guitar here. Peace.

  • Master of the Telecaster!

  • I saw Roy Buchanan in 1976. I am a better person for having seen him. God Bless you, Roy Buchanan. RIP.

  • The sound is out of synch on every one of these rockpalast videos :-(

  • Terrific, he makes it cry.

  • that moment of perfection.

  • and Matt Damon on keys!

  • Makes me wanna Fender. If I could have Roy, too, to play it. I never got to see him play live. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity. Roy rules, man! :)

  • This man had to have been born the same day as Rory G....can't imagine what they would have done together...........

  • Wow very good and very special, i never hear so good guitar player before.

  • Definitely the master of the Telecaster........

  • The best of all time, and I have seen them all......jawdropping performances.......

  • Great!

  • Excellent. Three people in the front row had orgasms.

  • awesome...

  • i smell em....booker was too cool.....nice vid ...

  • Gotta love this one!

  • believe me he played with all a friend and understood him- he will live on--the greatest

  • Miss him!

  • Roy is Dio

  • Roy Buchanan was probably the most under rated guitar player of all time. He can do a riff that will make you dam near shit on yourself

  • @Amerikaten Great, great music tragedy was losing him!

  • @karennorwegian I saw Roy twice+got to meet him and the band at the Electric Ballroom in Dallas. Nice dude We hung out and had a few beers. He liked his beer.

I agree w/many that he was one of the best ever. His albums don't do him a justice as seeing him LIVE. The unbelievable things he could do with a tele

making it cry like a pedal steel to just beatin' the hell out of it, to doing enviable runs with just his left hand. Jeff Beck says Roy is the best ever. period. That's huge.

    RIP

  • WOW! What a wicked TONE!

  • If you think this version is great, listen to the studio version from his "Loading Zone" Album

Its incredible! over 8 minutes long and it is the best version of Green Onions on the planet.

  • Roy hated the Stanley Clark produced version on LOADING ZONE.

  • RB was one of the best.Saw him once late 70's gone way to early. John Hicksville NY:)-

  • Thanks for posting these RB videos. This is fantastic. The only guitarist I'd like to hear play this other than Steve Cropper is Roy Buchanan.

  • Roy was so good but always had the stiffest, lame pickup bands.....

    They never did him justice..

  • The RB 8:08 minute studio recording of Green Onions from his Loading Zone album is the best version on the planet!! Got to post it!!

  • Nice performance

  • FUCKING ROCKS !!!!

  • @danoinreno totally baby!

  • Kick it away Roy! You torture those snares so well....I can even smell it

  • What a cool song,and whats even cooler,Roy is playing it !

  • I love the way Roy's guitar sounded. He had a very distinctive tone to his Telecaster.

  • Terrific Tele Twankin'! Thank you for letting us post our Tribute To Roy Buchanan Concert version of GREEN ONIONS!

  • Don't know why but his studio albums never did him justice. Once I saw him live, I was blown away. One of the all time greats..

  • anyone know what he's got wedged under the low e up top? gum? lol

  • @kyleeld123 not a cigarette butt maybe?

  • I think Roy is squeezin and wringing that neck like crazy. Jeff Beck loved his playing, that's more than enough for me. RIP Roy.

  • Too bad Roy never got the due he deserved.

  • The priest of the blues.

  • kocham go ::(

  • I think Roys version of G.O. is the best, fantastic

  • roy buchanan, you were and still are awesome !!

  • Exelente version del maestro Roy Buchanan

  • Excellent version!!amazing performance!!!You should isten to Johnny Thunder's version as well if you like this one!!Awesome solo btw!!!!

  • very underrated axeman - like Roy Gallagher

  • He once sad: I am half wolf. Had song titles like: I am evil. He knew that he had a very dark and moody side.

His tragic death did not surprise me at all. As opposed to the suicide committed by Danny Gatton. They had not too much love between them. Two giants who never really made it to the top of the success they both wished to have.

  • Master of da Telecaster!

    MONSTER of the Rockin' Blues.

Glad I got to see him destroy it live at least once.

    R.I.P. Roy

  • I like the keyboardist JAWS effect

  • super hot...cook me some on-ions!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i never get how people play a guitar that high up

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarstuffplace try it sometime. I find it easier to play pretty much anything more cleanly when it's up there.

  • achihuela chingal ! Roy never got his due. Maybe our kids will learn to dig a gift.

  • Greatest string bender ever. Remember all too well where I was when I heard on the radio that he had hung himself in the Fairfax County Jail after a drunk in public arrest. Broke my heart.... He was the King the DC blues scene in the 70's and 80's. God and those above are privy to some of the greatest.... See you al soon...

  • most under rated guitarist he is sooooo BEAST at the blues and nobody knows him... my dad met him in person he was a true fellow

  • RIght on! He was great and some of his blues very dark, but one hellof a axeman! may he RIP!

  • I saw him at the Capital Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey with Dickey Betts and Johnny Winter. Man, That was the night of the guitars!

  • Too bad this guy never broke it out big. I saw him as a back up band for Traffic at the Orpheum in Boston. He was brilliant.

    Little known, little respected.

    RIP Roy

  • I could never forget this quitarist... try to listen and Roy's Blues.. is magnific!!!

  • That's class.....with a capital "C"

  • Damn!

  • he makes that guitar cry so well its not even funny some of the best stuff ever and hes so smooth at it too wow

  • this dude is a legend people just dont know him he was great!!!!!!!

  • That synthesizer really sounds like crap.

  • saw roy in dallas in 82 i think....wow...second best texas guitarist of all time...and thats saying something lol

  • Who is the best??

  • Stevie Ray, of course!

  • It is really saying a lot, seeing how he was from Arkansas.

  • hahahaha

  • Play it Roy!!

  • I'm glad I got to see him several times before he passed. He always put on a great show!.

  • GREAT hammond sim.

  • RIP Roy....you were amazing! I got the chance to see him live in a club.....incredible!

  • Just Great!!!

  • Lol Drummer 1:30

  • Roy is the man Daddio!!

  • roy doesn't get a chance to solo throughout this film clip? What do you think he is doing?

    No solo uh?

  • go johnny logan on the keyboard!

  • If you dont like it then go somewhere else.

  • you suck and your music tastes are hideous to say the least

  • well said mate :)

  • yer clown at roys hight of fame he was voted the worlds best . by the ten best in the world, guys dead killed by cops in a cell but a legend lives on .

  • i like the bruiser in the blue polo, in the front row.

  • SUONARE la chitarra!!!

    ROY BUCHANAN DOCET

  • Roy Was a sick Blues Player, used togo see him in New Haven all the time.he was Awesome..to bad hes gone,RIP ROY Buchanan

  • With all due respect to Mr. Steve Cropper, Roy

just takes this to the next level!

  • He never gave in or compromised...turned down an offer to join the Rolling Stones...stuck to his own thang...Roy Buchanan is truly a wonderfully magical guitar player.

  • He was soooooooooooo good.

  • Great!!!!!!!

  • get me high

  • Roy was the One. Oh yeah...he sure was. Why are there still no DVD's out?
