That's not really true. Kostya is a great fighter, and one low blow could be an accident, but if you watch the whole fight he did it several times. In this round he had started to loose heart, and Hatton was getting to him so he through a low blow. Hatton just gave him a taste of his own medicine.

This is now quite a famous example, but in boxing it's generally agreed if you keep receiving low blows, don't moan to the ref just low blow them back! It's accepable, not dirty.
