Thanks for your inspiration and guidance. I added a desk to my treadmill and quickly dropped 10 pounds, as well as feeling more alert and active during the day.
do you find that the board across the handles is stable enough? I have a desk top computer with an LCD monitor. I'd probably need something a bit more permanent. But this is an AWESOME idea.... an especially great way to see if you like it enough to invest the money in a larger one. Thanks!
If you need a treadmill desk check out the TrekDesk. It is height adjustable so you will not get neck and back fatigue. Also, it comes with desktop accessories and is by the far the best I have seen.
This is almost 2 years old. I'm curious whether you still use the treadmill desk and - well, did it change your life?

:/ My treadmill doesn't have handles like that. They slant downward. Oh well :(

It's stable for me and my laptop (and coffee, etc.) but I don't know if I'd put a monitor on my particular setup.
If your handles are supported in the front and back though you'd probably be alright! Good luck!

does the sound from the treadmill motor drive you nuts ?

Nope... My Horizon T91 is pretty quiet, especially at lower speeds. Plus I usually have music on too.
