The one thing that makes Kelly a true performer/ star (besides her AMAZING singing voice) is that she makes a connection with every single song she sings. She not only sings the songs, but she tells a story with her face...You can really tell that Kelly loves singing and is having a blast up there on stage :D

I think the best thing about this performance is that you can tell in her facial expressions that she didn't start the song as good as she probably wanted to, but once she got to the high note of the song is where she took control. That is when she hit her comfort zone, she got the crowd into it and she took that moment on 100% from then on!!!!! She is talented on most days and on off days she is determined to do her best for her fans which makes it impossible to see the difference. She Rocks!

Simon didn't have the same instincts earlier on though... He did not vote for Kelly to be in the Top 30... She was a semifinalist because Randy and Paula voted for her to be there. Simon didn't really back her until after the audience voted her through. ;)

shes the best idol ever.. and she is the most confident on stage, that is what alot of other A.I contestants lack. she was nervous and always had a confident attitude.. especially with her facial expressions, and her winks and little movements lol. she always used to get the crowd on their feet.. she already acted like a star back then.. and that is why she is the #1 american idol. i dont remember anyone else on that show as confident and at ease on the stage as she was.
