  • McCain is the one who is ludicrous. He wants amnesty for illegal aliens and a 100 year Iraq war.

Now you tell me what is "ludicrous" about Ron Paul.

  • I only wish I could directly speak to who posted this. How on God's earth is Ron Paul not a libertarian or republican for that matter. I'm glad that this person is already active duty, I hope him and his children enjoy the next 100 years of war. Maybe he'll choose to vote for Barack Hussein Obama. No, don't doubt yourself, you read the name right. GOD BLESS AMERICA. As a veteran, I respect him, as a person I do not. Remember to go to work every day, millions on welfare are depending on you!

  • only republican candidates i would vote for: mccain and Giuliani.

  • I agree McCain is a great candidate and my #1 choice, but how is Paul being a libertarian "ludicrous"?

  • well, he does have a few libertarian values, but i he is not only libertarian, but also an isolationist, a conspiracy theorist, a racist, and while he might have some values that are libertarian, his proposed ways of going about enacting said principles is completely insane

  • yea I agree, a gold standard is a fairy tale idea for this nation.

  • *question stemming from complete ignorance*

what is the gold standard again?

  • gold standard refers to how we used to do money, for every dollar in circulation, there was a dollars worth of gold in the National Reserve to back it up... that was changed in the early 1900's... i think during the great depression, but i'm not certain on that. anyway, the reason the gold standard was replaced by the bank note(current system)is because there was too much money and too little gold, so America went to the bank note and started using goods to determine the price of the dollar

  • Thanks for your service and support. McCain's has a son serving in Iraq right now.

  • I love McCain but I like Ron Paul too. Ron Paul's claim to being Libertarian is "ludicrous"? I thought he almost defines a radical dedication to small gov't. Please elaborate...
