I remember the olympics advert (great Elastica song) and tghe colgate advert as though it were yesterday! Autumn 96 was the year I started secondary school. Time flies!
I notice Budweiser using (I think) "Connection" by Elastica ... no more accurate epitaph for Britpop's futile dreams of ending Americanisation, whether in pop or more generally.
