"Us vs. Them" mentality = stultification. Pick your poison, they are all the same. Every single religion is a giant lie and a con. Wake up, people, stop substituting and liberate yourself from man-made dogma. Religion is pacifiers for adults.
Dear mrdleted- Can you explain to me the difference between Old Order Amish, Modern Amish and Beechy Amish. Also, what is the difference between Old Order Menonnites, and 'modern' Mennonites (is their such a thing?)
The reason why I ask is this, is because I am building a friendship with what I might consider Old Order Mennonites as they seem like Amish but they do not associate themselves at all with the Amish.
@LegalAlien100 Well there are Old Order Amish, New Order Amish, Swartzentruber Amish, Dan Amish, Troyer Amish to name a few, with perhaps the New Order being the most modern, and the Swartzentruber the more conservative of the groups. Actually there is supposed to be a group in TN that does not use any engines, instead just uses horses for everything. I would consider that to be a little more conservative. Anyway, I am not really sure how to describe the Mennonites, but I will try.
@LegalAlien100 There are a lot of Mennonite divisions. I would not know how to name them all... I used to go to a modern Mennonite church called Dove Christian Fellowship, and they met in a building used by the YMCA. There are Old Order Mennonites that still drive buggies though. Some wear the traditional head coverings, others do not. Some drive cars, as they did at Dove, but some groups require their cars to be black, unlike the Dove church. Let me know what you find out.

hey buddy I don't know whether you will answer this or not. My husband was brought up Amish. He left as a teenager we are 45 now. We are happy we are still Christians just not old fashioned ones to be polite. Anyway if you would like help for some of these girls who leave maby we can think of something or a way to help thanks
Please reply back to this as soon as you can. I am considering joining an Amish community, I am wondering would I have trouble finding some one to marry if I were to be accepted into the Amish community? I'm 21 female, and African American. I am curious because I have never seen any black Amish ppl.
You may have problems with it, but your first problem would be to find a community that would allow you to join (and that is not just cause of your skin color, that is just cause vary few choose to join the Amish church.)
Hmmm I don't know her, what I know is what I been told, but that was to be her confession to get back in good standing in the church. As for her baby, I am sure he will have problems growing up, as he would be like 1 black kid in a crowd of white kids, so he will stand out. But I guess that is something his mother will have to deal with when the kid gets older.
BTW my (former Amish) sister has adopted another former Amish lady's mixed race baby)
@mrdeleted Thanks for posting this vid. Churches allover sort of have a tendency to separate from other churches (it's understandable). I guess my question is: How do Amish respond to "Go to all the world and preach the Gospel"? Because if the Book of Revelation says that at the end there will be people from "every tribe, nation and tongue", why does the Amish church seclude itself from a world that is in need of the Message of Salvation?
@mrdeleted And if there's no salvation outside the Amish Church, where do Blacks, Chinese, Natives etc. fit in the plan of God? That just makes no sense to me. Thank you before hand!!!
@gospelnews123 Well I the Amish believe in having "hope" that they go to heaven not in believing that they will... They won't say anyone will not go to heaven, but if you commit suicide, they have no "hope" for you and will bury you outside the cemetery. They also have no hope for anyone that is not a member of the church, so in short, if you are not a member, or kill yourself, then you are going to hell!
Thank you for answering my questions. Wow I was surprised to hear about your sister who was raped by your brother. Did your brother have to confess at the church? Did he get in trouble legally?
Your sister who was forced to marry her boyfriend because of the pre-martial sex- is she still married to the guy?
For the other sister, yes she has grown kids by now. Infact her oldest daughter was dating a guy last year, when she broke up with him and then started dating another guy. The old BF got mad and almost shot the new BF. The cop told him the leave town. I have vids on here about it.
that's so sad!, that happened with your sister, I means.. I can't understand why this things happens in the world... I don't know what I'll do if something like that would happen to a child of mine... specially if it was made by someone of the family... my anger would be immense...
It is sad that she was forced to get married because of that.. I hope her boyfriend was good at least...

After calling her self a whore, is she entitled to all the rights and benefits of the amish lifestyle?
Is her baby treated equally as she now might be a single mother?

@gospelnews123 They do not seem to have an opinion on that... At least they do not go preaching to others like that...

@mrdeleted Thanks!!! It seems like any other religion, without assurance of salvation, based on works and not by faith!

@gospelnews123 Exactly. It is what made part of my family leave when they found out that the bible says you can know you are saved...
