@JHand04, AM radio travels hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles at night. Radio waves bounce off the ionospheric layer of the atmosphere. But it also takes the right conditions and a lot of patience. These days, the AM and FM bands are over-crowded. There are some nights the ionospheric, or "skywave," conditions are poor. I am glad you enjoy my videos. Thank you for being one of my first subscribers.
I remember getting WJJD from NYC all the time back in the late 60s/early 70s.
I also remember once getting KSL from NYC around 1971-2. I was so excited as a kid with this.

TechnerVideo, how were you able to get reception from this station? Or from some of the other out-of-town stations?

My 100th fave. Thanks so much for this. I LOVE old radio, especially standards. Helps me sleep. :)
