how are these dangerous? there just floating bag's there's no fire, helium, or any other source of power except the sun and if it did get sucked into a jet it wouldn't do a thing because jet engine's are made pacifically to not malfunction if like 20 bird's get sucked into it so a balloon wouldn't do anything

Oh - I tried this again. I had it much more thought out, and just as big, but when we flew it it didn't go well with the wind, and it's in the bin now. I really did want to make it go but it just didn't happen.

I will be making another (smaller) within the next few weeks, finding the good weather to do it with. Will be filmed (properly)

dont be such a tool. we didn't make a video of the second flight, id did fly, over all the houses in my street, ripped down someones tv ariel, went accross a main road and landed in a gigantic tree.

Fill it with hot air from a heater fan, those used inside cars during winter. That would give it good lift from the beginning.

it died the day after i made it... im making a new one. but atm its winter... so i cant.. ill wait till summer. this one will be twice as big as the other..

Actually, I found that solar balloons get much more lift on a cold day....a LOT more lift. I was taking aerial videos last Saturday with a about a 10 foot tetroon, when my tether snapped. That same tether had been fine on a summer day even when it was windy (I have those videos on my account). well, I had to say goodbye to a $20 pencam and 2GB SD card....it sucked
