  • Blue Blazer FTW!

  • 2 great wrestlers that left us way too soon.

  • What a shame we never got to see a proper fued between these 2 at some point. Owen could do it all in the ring & Hennig well he made everyone look great in the ring. I miss guys that could actually wrestle. The Harts, Hennig, Dynamite, Savage, Eddie, Benoit & the list goes on & on.

  • gotta love the parts unknown gimmick...

  • LOL "360! By the Blue Blazer" --- It's called a backflip.

  • You guys ever feel weird seeing a match like this while knowing that both the opponents are currently dead?....Mr.Perfect and Owen Hart were awesome wrestlers back in the day no doubt...but it still feels very odd and sad for me to know that both of these performers are gone.

  • @AntiFaithNY PWI always had Curt listed at 235.

  • RIP Owen and Curt. Two great wrestlers.

  • i love on how in the 80's wrestling there wasn't that much cops so ppl threw food and other stuff

  • RIP Owen

  • Some moves are missing

  • 2 of wrestlings best ever .... owen hart and mr perfect

  • why doesn't he have an entrance music

  • @FatFadi Not everyone had entrance music in the 80's.

  • Owen hart was the blue blazer but his double jack o'halleran is who is in this fight

  • @19triumph73 Jack O'Halleran was the first, Vince Russo gave the gimmick to Owen Hart after Hart turned down a sex angle with Debra.

  • Beautiful move at 3:27. I don't think I've seen it done since.

  • Also, the Perfect-Plex is a thing of beauty. Curt always executed it with such great balance and precision. I miss him.

  • Owen was athletic as hell, in addition to being technically superb. He also was great on the mic, and added the requisite humor, charisma, and tongue-in-cheek obnoxiousness required. He reminded me of a character out of the young, edgy, movies that combined the bratty little brother with a regal like quality. He was just all around skilled. It's a shame the WWF never gave him the full push he deserved. He had it all.

  • the "blue blazer" as owen hart R.I.P vs "perfection" mr.perfect R.I.P

  • Curt made everyone look good

  • This match was so far ahead of it's time. Outside of Mexico and Japan NO ONE was doing moves like that during those years. They were obviously trying to get Owen over as he had 95% of the offense. Even being barely over 5 minutes this match stole the show.

  • Absolutley...Give these guys 16 - 18 minutes at least. And give Henning more of an offense, back and forth. This may be if orchestrated propery a Steamboat / Savage match.

  • RIP Owen RIP Curt......

  • Tim White refing. FRIENDLY TAP BABY!!

  • This is one of the best matches under 10 minutes. I'm not trying to be funny either. They deserved better but made a really fun match.

  • Sin Cara is the new Blue Blazer!

  • this is the shortened version of the match. see the wwf 1999 re-releases of the WM's, in this case 5 and you'll seee the longer match. and also see mr perfect almost trip down the ramp (he didn;'t know there was a step down there). lol also happened to bret hart and bushwhacker butch, lol.

  • Definitely criminal that they gave these guys only 3 and a half minutes to work.

  • @TSMontana Seriously bro, you could see that they tried craming in alot of stuff in that 3 minutes, they made it count.

  • @Emit79 I'm not faulting the performers at all. They went above and beyond to use every last second of that time. Why could they have given time from the Twin Towers/Rockers squash match?

  • @TSMontana I completely agree with you, i said "seriously bro" in an agreeing manner, not a nasty tone haha sorry for the confusion! 2 amazing legends right there, I read Bret Harts book and it said that Owen was given little chances here and there in the begining to show what he can do, I guess this is one of them, its the Owen show, with a perfect plex at the end. But that just shows what a amazing guy hennig was to let the rookie take the show at wrestlemania...oday is Mr Perfects birthday.

  • @TSMontana Well, this was during a period where they jammed like 15 matches into WrestleMania, so there was only so much time.

  • @TSMontana Check out 3:58. That's where the tape cut happens. Perfect actually controls the match for a little while. The match was 8-9 minutes long uncut.

  • @TSMontana I mean, at the time THEN, I could see the Blazer only getting that much time, but Perfect!? he DEFINITELY deserved it then, and if anyone would have opened they're eyes, they would have then realize that both of them have it in them to do something truly special..

  • pro wrestling at its best, how i miss those days, you can actualy see how fun and entertaing wrestling use to be it was all about fun and the wrestler liking what they did, today its just a load of crap, crappy wrestlers and crappy wrestling skills, today its all about money so sad

  • Mr Perfect vs Owen Hart (dream match) and they only gave them five minutes.

Plus it took a minute & a half for their entrances. Whose idea was that?

  • @stim124 owen wasn't ready for wwf back then....look at all the botch & stressed move he did...... he then went to japan and came back after.... and NOW THEN HE WAS MORE THAN READY HE BECAME ONE IF NOT THE BEST WRESTLER EVER!

  • @hayabusafmw Yeah, but you can also say, look at all of the spectacular matches he had back then...they may be few, but the few matches were really great...just not this one unfortunately..

  • @stim124 who now but it should have went longer

  • @stim124 This match was longer. It got cut for video.

  • @stim124 This match was longer. Just got cut for Coliseum Video.

  • Perfect plex is just well PERFECT!!!!

  • OWEN HART RIP

  • Two great wrestlers is sad that they are no longer with us.

  • two of the greatest technical wrestlers ever in the same ring...wow!!!I really liked them both very much,Mr.Perfect vs Bret Hart at Summerslam 1991 and Owen vs Bret at Wrestlemania 10 are two of the greatest technical matches I've ever seen!Mr.Perfect,Owen Hart,Ric Rude,Yokozuna,Bam Bam Bigelow,Eartquake,Big Boss Man...All these great wrestlers are dead...I still can't believe it

  • wow. never seen this. RIP.

  • R.I.P the both of ya's.

  • blue blazer is hero of history of LUCHA LIBRE!!!! inmortal owen inmortal!!!

  • its sad that Owen and Hennig didn't have more matches, especially in the 90s when Owen was the heel and Perfect was the face

  • Great mid card match.

  • I marked out like crazy when Beefcake pinned Perfect at Wrestlemania 6.

  • i dont remember mr. perfect having no entrance theme back then.i was akid though.was a long time ago.maybe they figured at the time he was so perfect no music would be good enough for him

  • @Bigrobowski10 he was still new then. I believe '89 was his first year, so they probably still were deciding what to use for a theme

  • My two all time favorites in the ring together. Too bad they weren't more popular at the time. If given the opportunity, they could have put on an incredible match.

  • My two all time favorites in the ring together. Too bad they weren't more popular at the time. If given the opportunity, they could have put on an incredible match.

  • GREAT wrestlers!

  • Jarett or Owen ? :-D

  • is someone laughing crazy at 4:15? lol

  • One of the best finishing moves ever. You'd think someone would try it now.

  • ahhh Parts Uknown, right outside of the town of Death Valley. And dwn the road from Truth or Consequences. enough joking RIP Owen Hart and Curt Hennig. Very under-rated and under used by the powers, but never in the mind of the fans.

  • @lnknprkkrngcsp death valley is a real area I think in the arizona desert

  • @Magdra its far west cali aint it bro?

  • Owen broke Stonecold's neck. Austin was never the same since then (physical, athletic performance).

  • I woulda been tired after running down that football length entrance.

  • imagine how long it would take for undertaker to get to that ring

  • i hate the BLUE BLAZER fuck that gimmik and who ever thought about it .....RIP OWEN i will always miss you im only 22 and damn im still pissed that you died

  • Over 20 years later and it still remains impressive.

  • mr.perfect was the 1 of the top 5 in ring performers 2 do it perfect had it all but the reason he was never pushed 2 b heavyweight champ was becuz he had a bad back i honestly think if his back wasnt bad he'd b a much better champ than hogan ric flair even the ultimate warrior he was funny he could wrestle his ass off n he was a show man with all that going 4 him he shouldve been champ but vince didnt take a risk instead he put bret hart in front of mr perfect it sux

  • how is own hart dead

  • @legoface7 He fell from the rafters in 1999 during a PPV.

  • blue blazer firt time ive heard of him but his face unmasked he looks like heath slater in the nexus

  • Comment removed

  • That top rope to Hennig's knees bump was awesome!

  • Blue Blazer is Owen no question about it .

    Rest In Peace Owen (bow)

  • fuck wwe its bout wwf

  • was great to be a wrestling fan in the 80's and 90's......not so much these days

  • owen hart murdered kurt hennig in this match and it was mr. perfect that went on 2 becum the IC champion which was strange considering blue blazer was alot better wrestler than him as prooven in this match. did nebody know that kurt actually broke owens nose with that knock-out punch? funny as fuck m8!!!!!

  • Parts unknown...Blue Blazer, Smash, Warrior...must be an odd place to live.

  • this was classic too bad owen didnt win

  • Mr. Perfect stole that victory right at the end but the evel of technical skills professed by both wrestlers will not ever be surpassed by todays generation. Countering hip-tosses, bridging out of pinfalls (not this match but aside), perfect plex's, flying crucifixes. These are the days of wrestling. Now it is weapons and hysteria. Deplorable.

  • CMON BLAZER!!...awww....nuts

  • Comment removed

  • i would of liked to see these 2feud long term

  • THEY'LL B WRESTLIN IN HEAVEN :)

  • No music for Mr. Perfect???

  • From "Parts Unknown"? Man, Blue Blazer must be Ultimate Warrior's neighbour XD

  • @nekjenekdo ultimate warrior lived next door 2 papa shango in parts who-cares wen they feuded, i found out l8ta it was becus shango was havin bonfires in the back garden and it was gettin on warriors clothesline!!!!!!!

  • The Blue Blazer is not Owen Hart. The Blue Blazer is The Jucier Gimmick in WCW his name was art Barr

  • @dogcatmouse23 Impossibile! The Blazer we're seeing in this video is blond...Like Owen Hart...r.i.p. Hart, Perfect and also Barr :(

  • The blue blazer was Owen Hart, do your homework.

  • One of my favorite WrestleMania matches. Blue Blazer's performance was unbelievable. RIP Owen Hart and Curt Hennig.

  • Two great wrestlers that you stupid Cena-loving wigger faggots refuse to appreciate.

  • two of the best and perfect in ring skilled wrestlers to ever step in to the ring great superstars owne owne owne henning henning henning

  • Owen god bless you dude IM stiil you #1 fan

  • This is my favorite match in WrestleMania V.. two of the Greatest ever..

  • has to say Gorilla Monson, and Jesse da body was da greatest announce team in wrestlin history

  • Jesse was right. It was a great match.

  • This Blue Blazer was like an acrobat. He had some sweet moves.

  • Who was the original Blue Blazer? This is the one I grew up watching.

  • @urbancowboyNJ

Owen Hart is the original Blue Blazer....it's kind of sad that he came into the WWF as The Blue Blazer and sadly left this world as The Blue Blazer.

  • @urbancowboyNJ this blue blazer is own hart then owen hart came to be blue blazer again..

  • @MoonKeepa In Mexico, in 1998, canadian wrestler Phil Lafon used the Blue Blazer gimmick as Blue Blazer II in CMLL, strangely without his tag-partner Doug Furnas.

  • no no no no its the perfect plex funny line by jesse ventura

  • Sad seeing the joke of a gimmick that would kill Owen just a decade later....

  • Two amazing talents whose lives were tragically cut short. RIP guys

  • very slick how they omitted perfect stubling down that last step at 0:17. on the 1999 rerelease tapes of the wrestlemania's, WMV shows perfect, bret hart, and bushwacker butch all stumbling down that last step. you know, not falling but not expecting that last step down? hart made it look cool, butch looked totally startled and perfect just kiond of moseyed down it.

  • @TeslaDRay

and on that rerelease, they totally skipped piper's pit segment with morton downey jr. some of the matches were longer though on those versions instead of the coliseum video versions where some matches, including this one, were shortened.

  • AT 00:31 someone put bunny ears on mr perfect

  • Now this is WRESTILNG IN WRRESESLTLTMANNNIAAA!!! HAHAHA HAHAHAH

  • what eva happened to da original blue blazer? da firs one was not Owen! da guy in dis match wasn't Owen either. but RIP Owen and Henning

  • @WhiteChocolut The Blue Blazer was Owen's first gimmick, and he was the original.

  • @WhiteChocolut that is clearly owen hart! if you were knowledgeable about wrestling you would be able to see that.

  • @TheDotComKid84 shut yo fool moufh

  • legends like this aren't any more around & thats why wrestling is dying.

  • ahi todavia blue blazer no perdia la mascara q chido

que canek le quito la mascara canek es uno

de los mejores luchadores de la historia

  • Owen was so far ahead of his time... rip

  • legends and a big lost

  • hhahaha that was just perfect

  • i love how he flew "perfectly" out of the ring, from that drop kick by blazer early on.

  • There were about 3-4 minutes of the match cut out. I have the original tape and the match is much longer than 4 minutes...

  • Perfect was light on his feet at about... 6-1 or 6-2? I love he he quickly trapped the very overly-eager Blue Blazer with that Perfect-Plex. Great show.

  • @sandinyourshoes perfect was billed as being 6'4 but that means he was probably 6"3

  • @TheDotComKid84, Perfect was a class act. It is depressing that he and so many other stars of the WWF are gone. Today's wrestling just does not have the same magic.

  • two of wrestlings greatest its sad to know their not with us anymore :(

  • @killinthetruth what would have it matter they gave their all they went with their head up would you have prefered them to be like has been flair bret hart?

Bruce lee told it himself better to die young on top

imagine owen hart dieing of cancer.? better than free falling?

not really his death probably saved lives by checking more about saftety with harness stunts

  • wow, i had no idea the blue blazer was around during wrestlemania 5

  • you could tell it's owen when he backflips off the second rope, owen used to do that a lot during his matches as the rocket. in 1991 and 1992...

  • @domirules28 um it was the top rope

  • it looked like the blazer owned mr. p if u ask me... rip owen

  • and perfect

  • Actually it was hennig making blazer look great. That's what he did.

  • if my mania history is correct and i think it is.... this is the only appearance blazer made at mania

  • Correct but Owen appeared as himself at manias 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

  • this is when wresting waz good

  • Comment removed

  • you can actually see Owen's blond hair in the back!

  • ps i had forgotten that curt had passed on also rip baby both great masters of the ring

  • owen forever rip baby well missed one of the best ever f hogan

  • Lol blazer got owned

  • Easily Two Of The Best Wrestlers Ever, RIP Curt Henning And RIP Owen James Hart. They Made Wrestling look like Art.

  • its so weird to see chops without the famous WOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @phenozarky yeah so true dude Wooooo!

  • Blue Blazer had courage. Even if he did lose just about every match against one of the major heels, he walked away to the showers with his fans cheering him on.

Blazer was defeated cleanly at the Los Angeles Sport Arena on July 8, 1989 when Bad News Brown clobbered him with the Ghetto Blaster. Blazer had guts to wrestle him. However, from the beginning, Blazer (Owen Hart) could not match power with Bad News. Therefore, he was destined for getting pinned.

  • @sandinyourshoes in real lifw bad news would have beaten just about anyone he was an olympic medalist in judo

  • @TheDotComKid84, that is true. I cannot believe he was never the WWF Champ. He deserved to be one. Even guys like Hogan or Warrior would have found him to be a tough opponent any day of the week. It is too bad he is now gone. I miss the classic days of the WWF.

  • Blazer got pinned for not paying attention, but his efforts were noteworthy.

Anytime Perfect did not like someone, he'd twist them up in that Perfect-Plex.

  • Ypu stupid monkey, u shouldn't say results!!!!!!1

  • Look, bozo, this match took place 20 years ago! Both of the men are dead. I cannot help it if you arrived so late. Wake up.

  • I know, I watched that match, Owen is one of my favourites. I just don't like spoilers

  • It is hard to spoil old wrestling events.

  • LOL. When i was young BB was one of my faves. When my cuz told me that the Red Rooster pinned BB, I got upset.

  • Why's it so funny, WWEFan? A lot of people didn't have music back then. Perfect got his later that year. It wasn't until the mid 90s that everyone had music.

  • MRRR PERFECTTTTTTTTTT

    RIP MY FRIEND

  • if owen only new what would happen 10 years later.

  • what a perfect body

  • R.I.P. Mr Perfect and Blue Blazer

  • what year was this? like 89 or 90?

  • 1989

  • They cut a lot out of this match. Perfect didn't get his ass kicked that bad. There was about 4 minutes of Perfect in control.

  • Even when I was 7 years old, I was very satisfied with the finish even though Blazer lost.

  • I miss Owen Hart and Curt hennig.

    Good Match

  • Owen did the Blue Blazer gimmick in Stampede, before he came to the WWF. Two great athletes gone before their time.

  • No, he didn't do the Blue Blazer gimmick in stampede.

  • your right, he did the gimmick early in his WWF career. Thats what I was thinking about.

  • kind of an odd match. Mr perfect just gets beat up the whole time then out of no where the perfect plex and its done...

  • i will never be a fan of the blue blazer

  • Because you are a fag diehard.

  • 1. that makes no type of sense.

2: what the hell could u get that from the blue blazer sux u no it and so does everyone else.

and 3: another example of more uncalled for inpropriate actions that only happen because just need to say rude comments to make themselves feel better

  • You gotta admire Curt Hennig for putting a nobody aka "the blue blazer" (aka never seen on WWF TV Owen Hart) so much over here.

In less than five minutes, he made Owen looking like a billion bucks prospect.

    Absolutely Perfect little match

  • two of the greatest drop kick artists of all-time.

    R.I.P. both.

  • R.I.P Owen :(

  • hennig and hart, 2 great studs that deserve way more credit

  • there both dead

  • could've had a better finish

  • That was Owen Hart you inbred retard.
