You know all the money that was given to these corps and banks. Just imagine if that $700 billion was given to each American. That would have been just over $200 million dollars for each American. I know for sure that a lot of us would not have a problem paying bills and loans back and buying goods and services to jump star the economy. I would personally invest it and put in some money market and invest in stocks and such. But alas only the bankers and wealthy get more and never learn.
@Draconis888 Ah yes. I also remember that there were businesses begging to hire work. Practically every business had a help wanted sign with a pay incentive when getting hired , especially the part time jobs.
Uh? The government should buy the messy mortgages, and Them hands them to the very people that produced the disaster, so they could make some bucks more? They are "friends of friends", eh, Paulson?
Now I respect those republicans who vetoed the bill feelings - it could destroy America and the world, but it has a meaning. If you have to, let's buy the endangered banks and procede to a cleanup of management. it's better to turn communists for a while, than allow such scoundrels to scot free.
i dont see the problem.. let them go bankrupt if i own a bussiness and make bad decisions i lose by company.. and so should they.. i see it as another scam by our corrupt govt 1-3 trillion dollar fck u to americans but we are use to it.. and yes we will stand here and take it up the!@% just like we always do.and we will do absolutely nothing about it..
Members of the House voted 220 to 198 Mon morning to move the bill forward. They approved ground rules for its consideration in the chamber, including 3 hours of gen debate & a final vote, likely by midday.
The inital action on the House floor came not long after Bush once again urged passage of the legislation.
Who is in control of this country the U.S. government or the privately runned Federal Reserve. It seems like the Federal Reserve want to lay down a fiscal martial law policy. We are all fucked if this thing passes. We are Americans and should ride out this crisis and not give any more power to the Federal Reserve. They've created and controlled the debt for the last 100yrs it is time to stop them. The best future for us and our children is to dismantle the Federal Reserve.
The reason they want the "No review" clauses is to permanently seize control of private companies and socialize the country. Banks are taking over, NWO/neocons are now in a support role.
Watch out because it's going to degrade very fast. The fight will be at our doors.
THEY are the terrorists. Ask yourself, would you let an aliens take over like this? Would you let Hitler or Bin Laden take over like this?

Bush lost the popular vote (the people's vote) in 2000... the vote of the Electoral College (which is really the vote that counts) is pretty much out of the people's hands...
Yes all a bit strange.. just hope Europe isn`t to much influenced. Still the people voted for him the second time without the need for the court didn`t they? .... lets hope they choose Obama, McCain doesn`t seem to know anything about the economy. Best of luck!
We live in an interdepend world so perhaps not that bad...at least we are not so interested in fighting wars anymore with other rich nations...lol..a bit strange that they are not talking about firing people...these companies didn`t seem to have much financial accountability.... a lot of European companies have assets in the US so they might be influenced again. And of course the dollar is going down because of this so the Euro will be a more stable option for some time to come.
You hear Paulson ask for the $700 Billion, he said that we can regulate, later. Lets give $700B to the people that just got us into this mess and lets make sure that there are no rules or checks and balances to see where the money is going.
I didn't vote for these assholes but I feel like I'll be paying until I die... lol
Yes..ZERO Accountability! Why isn`t bush talking about firing people. Why isn`t he talking about the Monstrous salaries of the Managers and CEO`s that RUN these companies! Why isn`t he talking about changing the system to seek Accountability! and no one is asking him those questions. I can tell you this; just throwing money at it won`t solve anything. America has become what it hated the most; a Socialist nation. Let`s hope they don`t vote McCain then. Best of luck man! "How many houses"?..lol
The question is, where did this money go during this Republican administration. Bail out is right! The Republican money mongrels are bailing out before the next election. Democrats will not look kindly upon the banking institutions, which I may add, are in Republican hands. Get out while the getting is good. WHERE'S THE MONEY???
One begins to think that the government is not for the people but are parasites living off the people.

I've got a idea the ones who have the least, we'll give to the ones who have the most. And we'll call it a capitalist society. You know a democracy.

There are some interesting articles about this idiotic bail out on David Duke's website.
So go visit his site if you dont want to be fooled anymore in the future.

If I were Bush, I would give up all the money and apologize to Americans for this mess, and then go to jail.

Europe has a little bit of a problem because Lehman Bros had a lot of assets there, and Asia.
American's problems are long reaching -sorry about that.
