I am doing a project for economics on the organ trade. The truth is that opportunists are just filling the lack of supply and the increase demand for organs. If they crack down on brokers the price will just go up. creating more desperate people willing to pay even more money for kidneys. Plus, prices will go up because of the added risk factor for the "brokers." The brokers are actually doing a good thing by getting people necessary organs.
