@GeneralG1810 modeling is hard work. They usually work at least 12 hours or more a day, especially the ones that are trying to establish their careers. for photoshoots they can work from 6 am till well past midnight. and their constantly traveling, away from their families most of them don't even get the weekend off.and during fashion week they do 5-6 fashion shows a day.to sum it all up that means, lack of sleep, no family time, and very little pay for large sums of work.

And what about emergency service workers get paid shit and risk your life everytime you do your job, or miners go to work dont know if your comming home. It's a creative outlet for people and a lot of the times the fashion industry uses their voice in society to bring attention to important causes like HIV/AIDS and cancer and stuff like that. And the people do actually wear the clothes that's why the designers are so rich because their clothes sell like crazy. Think of it as art and models wear it to display it.

Heres the thing with the point you just made, your right if curvey is a womans natural shape she shouldnt try to change it, however ALOT of girls who read mags about fashion i.e. Elle, cosmo, Marie Clare etc, all want to look like the girls in the mags even though theyve more than likely been digitally touched up. So why do magazines do that why do they want this unobtainable figure on girls

And for some people it is obtainable for some its not. But it also has something to do with young girls (like myself) and how most of them are very self conscious at this age. Plus if you want to watch lingerie then why don't you watch victoria's secret fashion shows, much better then the crappy models on fashion tv.

@GeneralG1810 It's not really fashion. The people say it themselves it's basically advertising for the brand, and it's almost like a cabaret show with live performances of varying singers, the only thing is that instead of dancers or whatever it's the world's top models in lingerie.
