yeh you can definitely have a longer stride and you should follow throw a lot more, your back should be parallel with the ground and your leg should be up in the air
I played last year at University of Tennessee, now Im at Broward CC to get back into the draft. As far as the lincecum goes, im not 5"11 and need to use my entire body to produce velocity. I use my height 6'6 and my long arms for leverage. I dont see Tim Lincecums velocity coming from leverage anyways, its mostly from hip rotation and extremely fast arm speed.

Joba Chamberlain is much bigger than you and he uses his full body to throw hard too, and so does andy pettitte. It's not just lincecum.

Looks like a traditional pitching motion that uses mostly the arm to throw the ball.
Try to pitch like Tim Lincecum and use leverage to your advantage.
