  • Why is this part not on the movie I bought?

  • Why the hell he put cigarette in his mouth and keep it there for like a minut unlited an then throw it ?

  • @grobarRS Isn't he trying to quit smoking?

  • I remember this scene from certain cuts of the film but the version available on netflix and a version I saw on television yesterday has it omitted. Which version has it?

  • Wait...why am I arguing with a person on YouTube who is not only an incredibly confrontational douche, but also try to act like a patriot who is in fact a hypocritic retiree that is doing nothing but wasting our planet's resources? Have fun dealing with syphillis

(btw,i don't really mind being labelled as an anime watcher, becoz there really isn't anything to be ashamed of,in fact,I can learn more about life than pointing out mistakes in movies when they are really pointless, nice try though)

  • panic spray?

  • flamewar!

  • MEL GIBLET LOOKS SOOOO OLD NOW

  • Damn these scene is soo fucking bad ass.Too bad they had to cut it though:-(

  • what lethal weapon is this?! ive watched them all but cannot find this scene.. it is a great scene i will give yu that

  • @bencook5 It's Lethal Weapon 1 but it's a deleted scene becuase Richard Donner is a dumbass!

  • @bencook5 it's in the director's cut of lethal weapon 1

  • Thomas Walt Hamilton

  • In the name of God, whay was this simply superb scene deleted from the film?

  • how is it that the rest of the cops have really powerful revolvers and not one bullet had hit rigss?

  • very nice movie

  • mel gibson man crazy best actor my generetion

  • What IDIOT deleted this scene from the movie?

  • ..turn on the volume UP!!.. great movie

  • mini 14 rifle sniper and beretta 9mm martin riggs

  • @enoquinhofilho Thats an m14 not a mini 14.

  • Crazy...shit.

  • Only bad ass cops put their guns and mags in the waist band lol

  • Lethal Weapon is sponsored by Winston Cigarettes.

Riggs- "Winston tastes good like a *BANG* *BANG* cigarette should."

  • God Bless Riggs

  • That prick got what he deserved.

  • I've noticed a few things with Riggs' Beretta.

    1) He chambers it, and though there is what appears to be a round in the chamber, he uses the slide release to close it.

    2) Racking the slide should have put the hammer into single action, but right after he racks it, he cocks the hammer.

    3) When it shows a close up of him aiming the gun at the window, he cocks the hammer again.

    4) He then fires 20 rounds, even though the full capacity of a Beretta 92F is 15+1.

  • @SecretService80 extended clip maybe

  • @AccountNotFound Extended 'magazine', first of all, and secondly, I cant see anything that doesn't look standard. I doubt it's extended, probably just for dramatic effect.

  • @SecretService80 The reason i said "Extended Clip" is because you might of thought i was a call of duty nerd, I also agree with you on the dramatic effects

  • @AccountNotFound Why would you want me to think you were uneducated? I'm not saying you are, but why not say what's correct? I think highly of people who know about weapons at a younger age...

  • @SecretService80 I counted 16, the other 4 were from the sniper.

  • @chriscos123 No, the M-14 shots are different, it's 20 by my count.

  • @SecretService80 You can count like a mofo, I get to 18, but to much for sure ;-)

  • @Jayskiallthewayski Thank you!

  • @SecretService80 He chambers the round, which WOULD put the hammer/trigger into single action position. However, after that, he manually lowers the hammer by holding it with his thumb and pulling the trigger, easing it forward into double action. This is an inherently risky way to de-cock the pistol. The proper way is to use the safety switch mounted on the slide, which also doubles as a de-cocker. The pistol would then need to be put back on "fire" before a shot could be taken in double action.

  • @andrewdirt101 After that, he re-cocks the hammer as shown in the video when aiming at the sniper.

  • @andrewdirt101 First of all, I know how a handgun works. Thank you, John Wayne. Secondly, you misunderstood. Unless he already had the de-cocker on, the hammer should have stayed in single action after he racked the slide, but it didn't. He manually cocked it. Then, he cocked it AGAIN when he flagged the window...

  • @SecretService80 After he chambers the first round, he lowers the hammer manually by pulling the trigger and gently easing the hammer forward. When he aims at the sniper, he cocks the hammer, which was put back into DA mode earlier by lowering the hammer. Watch the video again, Deputy Fife.

The method of using your thumb to ease the hammer forward while pulling the trigger is dangerous and stupid, always use the decocker.

  • @andrewdirt101 Again, please stop trying to educate me about firearms. I know how a Beretta's de-cocking safety works. You are wrong, and I understood you the first time. He does not lower the hammer. He clearly sweeps his thumb rearward, as if he was cocking it, and the sound of a hammer cocking is played over it...

  • @SecretService80 i counted 15 shots

  • @DeWina512 It's over 15, but the sniper did fire a few, if it isn't 20, I'd guess he fired somewhere between 17 and 20

  • @SecretService80 have u handle the Beretta? my dad & i handled one when use to be in the army. it 15 u must've miscounted listen to Glover in the film he say 9mm baretta 15 in the mags one in pipe no feed jam.

  • @DeWina512 Yes, I know all about the Beretta. I have one. It takes a 15 round magazine and one round in the chamber, and that is EXACTLY why the scene is wrong. He fires MORE THAN 15. Just because they identify it doesn't mean that they automatically used the right number of shots.

  • @SecretService80 still wrong mate.

  • @DeWina512 Keep telling yourself that. Happy New Year to you too, asshole.

  • @SecretService80 i ask my dad and he said he shot 15 rounds

  • @DeWina512 YOU FUCKING IDIOT! That's NOT the point! YES, the Beretta holds 15+1, in the film, it was edited incorrectly and Riggs fires 16+ rounds, ergo, it's an ERROR in the film. Just because it holds 15+1 in real life doesn't mean that it does in a Hollywood film. Christ, do you get it now!?

  • @SecretService80 good observations! bravo

    but i don't get it,what do you want us to do,Captain Not-Obvious?

you want us to give you credit? thumbs up?

just remember that it's a movie, movies like Gladiator and Star War made mistakes too, sometimes it's just not avoidable, and the directors may know about it,but found that not harmful to the overall movie

btw,try to be polite next time, especially when u think u r on the right side of the argument

  • @julianwrighthornet32 What's wrong with noticing bloopers? Oh, that's right...nothing. Show me one way I am wrong here?

  • @SecretService80 you want the credit for noticing whatever it is wrong about the Beretta, fine, you have all of it,you got enough to share with your wife and children

but i can't stand you trying to act like a pro when u r only making statements behind ur freakin computer

  • @julianwrighthornet32 Because I know things about guns. I'm sick of arguing. Just shut up.

  • @SecretService80 you may know things about guns, but you don't knoe crap about manners, you arrogant prick, just shut up and save yourself from getting embarrassed

  • @julianwrighthornet32 Embarrassed? You won't embarrass me, my ego is to inflated...and yes, I "knoe" crap about manners, I just don't use them when confronted by an illiterate keyboard warrior like yourself.

  • @SecretService80 Illiterate? That's funny,coming from you

And keyboard warrior? Hey,we are both Internet users,so please stop saying things that make you look even more like a retard

Wow,good observation on the word "knoe", I "knoe" you woulda notice, you pointless grammar police or secret service agent

  • @julianwrighthornet32 Wait...why am I arguing with a person on YouTube who is not only an incredibly confrontational douche, but also spends his spare time watching anime videos? Have fun being a virgin until you're 80, and save your breath, so to speak, because I'm not going to respond to you anymore.

  • @SecretService80 Dude you are lame.

  • @Ertsi94 Okay? You can choose to have whatever opinion you want to have...

  • @SecretService80 20 shots due to editing...I used to think like that when it came to movies, then when you get into the editing room...you discover what is called "Hollywood time". Basically if you notice the cut after the first shots is actually the same first shots just at a different angle. Discombobulating? Stupid? Absolutlely.

  • @1daddy57 Wow, I never thought of that...Good point.

  • Is this a deleted scene? I don't remember it at all...it's very badass tough

  • God, this movie is great because its mostly serious! Too bad they ruined the rest of them with comedy. Each one got progressively worse and 4 was pretty much unwatchable. And Joe Pesci is annoying as fuck!

  • why did he throw his cig?

  • @fuckmycunt99 cause he didnt even light it to begin with! haha he grabbed a cigarette before goin up there to look like a badass

  • Can anyone tell me where the location of this is? Im a bit of a freak and like to check out locations on Google maps. There are a few other locations for this film that ive found online, but none for this scence.

  • Martin Riggs could solve the war in Iraq in just 24 hours.

  • ...GREAT MOVIE

  • @jaredc621 what about godfather , starwars , exorcist , apocalypse now , rocky ? 70's aren't bad either .... boogie night, big lebowsky , goodfellas , seven, LA confidential ,T2 ,pulp fiction ? 90's can hold their own too . I don't think there is a better decade . The only thing obvious is that 2000's are pretty shitty . Style over substance . King's speech and Social network for favorite in the best picture race ? it speaks volume about the quality of the production now ....

  • All the years i owned the VHS tape and having seen the original release in the theater, I WISH they had left this in the theater release. I bought the director's cut of the film on DVD last year and SURPRISE! BAM! All of these scenes added more to the characters, particularly this one.

  • Martin Riggs - He's never afraid to die.

  • go M92 go !

  • Comment removed

  • @jigglypiggly It's actually a Beretta 92F, the 92FS wasn't out yet in 1987. It's not an "M"92 like jeffinphx said either, though.

  • @SecretService80 correct

  • @jigglypiggly

    No it's a 92F, Beretta wasn't producing the 92FS in those times

  • @ScarletSnake Read the comment I was replying to.

  • THAT is ONE one sexy dude!

  • One of the best scenes from Lethal Weapon: Director's Cut.

  • 80's movies owned

  • i love sound of guns in old movies.

  • OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I personally think this one scene is better than anything from any action film from the last decade. Riggs+Beretta=Lethal Weapon!!!

  • @jaredc621 I agree. I think the reason why I love 80's movies so much is that they had an awsome balance of action and story and they were much more original. How many movies today are based off of concepts established in the 80s? ALOT. Imagine if they made this movie today and how shitty it would be? It would either be PG-13, mostly a comedy and no F-Bombs, or still mostly a comedy, but violence X 1000 and 300 guns fights. So basically, it would be "The Other Guys" or "Bad Boys II". How sad.

  • @ryano2099 Every freakin movie these days is based off something in the 80s. If not a direct ripoff.

  • Is this a deleted scene or something? Cuz I just bought the blu-ray and i didnt see this scene (and its the best scene in the movie)

  • So much continuity!

He cocks the hammer twice, once at the beginning and right before he says "I'm still here, asshole!"

Then fires 19 rounds out a max capacity of 16 rounds.

  • @SecretService80 ehh, its a movie haha

  • @KamikazeProd Agreed. That makes it okay.

  • @SecretService80 Hey, it's an action movie. They aren't known for their logic.

  • this is tha beretta , PUT A NUDA HOLE IN YA SWEATA

  • i dont remember this scene, what sequel is it?

  • @jaredc621 Also the 90's, The 90's were good, like Die Hard.

  • @GlitchesofWar The original DIE HARD was made in the 80's....

  • which movie is this from? I don't remember it...

  • @ertio98 I think this is 1 of deleted scenes from Lethal Weapon 1!

  • One of the only movies where the sequels were comparable to the first of the series. I mean, the sequels to a lot of movies aren't worth the time they take up, but the Lethal Weapon series, actually seemed to improve as it went on. There was talk about L.W. part 5 back in 2004, but that was trashed, because they couldn't get Glover or Gibson to agree on the one more movie.

  • "But you're good", awesome.

  • @jaredc621 i know. just the vibe I get from them. movies used to be alot more rugged it sems like. When i was a kid i decided i was going to own a beretta 92 one day after watching these haha

  • Best scene in the movie.

  • nasty cigarrette in his mouth. God delivered me from those twice. I will not go back again. I like this movie though.

  • @moshesh shut the fuck up

  • @fuckmycunt99 Yea. I did start back smoking after saying that. Still trying to quit. I don't care about you writing disrespectful things because I know that you are really a cool person.

  • awesome movie

  • special effects have always looked more real this way.. forever will too

  • This whole series was pretty much a high budget advert for Beretta's 92 model.

  • This shit is brilliant.

  • Stupid scene, glad it was cut.

  • Riggs "I'm still here, asshole!..Or do you only do kids!?"

    Mr. Sniper "Shhhhut up!"

Riggs *fires berreta smoothie at Mr. Sniper*

  • I LOVE THESE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where's that school at? i'd like to visit it

  • @jaredc621

they just dont have all the things flashing and exploding and fast fast fast...

they take time for rest >)!

  • I was a Colt M1911 fan as a kid, now im a big Beretta M92 man!!

  • @elterrible2007 you can't go wrong with either one lol

  • Brilliant, dont have to say anything else!!!

  • Achievement unlocked: "15 shots, one kill"

  • @Treblaine For the Playstation Network,that'll be a Bronze trophy for sure.lol

  • He fired 19 rounds. The max for a Beretta 92F is 15+1 down the pipe.

  • @SecretService80 wow i never noticed that. I have a 92FS INOX and it is a gorgeous gun.

  • @Kurac80 Most definately! Love Berettas! You grow up with 'em. Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, John Woo movies...

  • why couldn't they have this part in the movie it makes Riggs look like a crazy hero cop

  • @Re4Rodester It's in the director's cut dvd.

  • I wonder how much he got paid by the tobacco industry for that unlit cigaret

  • why they cut this scene is a mystery, so fucking cool.

  • @bettergameplay not exactly a mystery, probably because they judged it was "too hard"

  • @bettergameplay well they put it in the director's cut dvd at least.

  • "You're one psycho-sob...but you're good! " ;)

  • The guy with the M14 was a crappy shot! Kick ass scene - think I need to get the director's cut.

  • The Helicopter scene made me buy a Beretta 92F :)

  • Damn, Riggs destroys this guy with a full mag of Beretta goodness!

  • Mel Gibson is cool and FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!

  • this wasn't in the original movie

  • I like that haunting melody from 00:56 to 01:00 while scene of, now, empty window.

Makes you realize how quickly how quickly can thing change and how quickly human life can be destroyed.

  • I've dumped a full Beretta mag and can tell you that in real life, Riggs would've burned off his "junk" by sticking it in his waist like that.

  • I love how casual he is. "Hello? Mr. Sniper, sir?"

  • Notice that Riggs first brass checks his Beretta, then cocks the hammer (dunno why would he do that - it should be already), and then when he takes aim, cocks it again.

Anyhow I think that whole Lethal Weapon series are damn good films, I'm still getting the feeling of some kind of anti-gun nature from it, which degrades it in my eyes.

  • Really? What kind of anti-gun message did you get from it? I've only seen the first one. Just curious, because maybe i am overlooking it.

  • Well, in the first film you got this crazy redneck barricaded at his house, shooting at kids with "automatic" (semi-auto in fact) rifle, to me it looks more like a stereotypical depiction of "gun nut" gone mad, than like just a coincidence or simply routine LAPD crime scene.

In second film there's not too much of it luckily, that's why I like the LW2 best, there they focused more on that apartheid thing.

But in the third and fourth, the anti-gun propaganda was back again.

    (continued)

  • In the third, anti-gun message goes on in full scale, there was anti-NRA sign at Murtaughs house, Daryll with full-auto SMG (illegal, illegaly obtained, but still shown as it was gun's fault) shot by Roger, "cop killers" problem (not based on facts), while it sounds like only cops are privileged to use guns, they don't give good examples of safe handling (waving around with guns, fingers on the triggers, Roger's gun fires off when holstering his gun, because he had finger on the trigger).

    cnt

  • In fourth, there was an anti-gun posters at the police station, one reading " What's the difference? Ban all civilian assault weapons now!", next to it a poster with a picture of a baby and "A child a day is killed by handgun", Riggs throwing away Leo's legally carried gun into the sea telling him "you don't deserve to have this, you're not safe", and you see Riggs pointing his Beretta in Leo's face (!!!) - a perfect example of very safe and professional handling of a firearm by police officer!

  • And also, in third, there was Murtaugh, after he shot Daryll, completely drunk on his boat, with a gun in his hand, almost shooting Riggs when he joined him. Another perfect example how poliemen are the only ones who should have firearms because they are the most responsible and obeying the rules of safe and proper handling of firearms, aren't they.

  • Huh. I had no idea! All I saw was the Apartheid fridge magnet in the first movie. I hate when they spew anti gun BS like that.

  • Even after watching Lethal Weapon since I was young, this is the first time I seen this scene. ^_^

I may want to get the DC copy.

  • that sound..it sounds a lot like a heavy 50 cal machine gun,bet they hav done just that

  • YEA MEL GIBSON

  • Thi scene clearly should have been left in the film, as it shows off Riggs' shooting skills. I guess however the producers found this scene un necessary and would just make the film go on longer, so they clipped it from the theatrical release. This scene is however in fact included on the director's cut version.

  • Riggs plugged that motherfucker lol

  • The order of Greatness

    1. Lethal Weapon

    2. Die Hard

    3. Rush Hour

    4. Beverly Hills Cop

  • Ive only ever seen this scene once must ov been on ITV 1 or Channel 5 couple of years ago never seen it since ive got the DVD and its cut out. I want the original Directors Cut

  • It's in our copy of Lethal Weapon on dvd. Is it only on the director's cut?

  • @boovy32 You can get the complete set with all 4 movies with the extras on DVD and Bluray at Walmart for $20

  • Dude, it's all about the story. Stories of the 80s movies are awesome. Now they sticks.

  • i love the guitar solo at 1:12 til 1:23 cos i got it as my ringtone

  • where did you get it from?

  • i actual record it

  • "You're a psycho son of bitch, but you're fucking good."

  • Warrior Vs Hunter. Hah.

  • i hate a very strong curry for my dinner tonight and i have had such fierce projectile diarrea my legs are shaking

  • hahaha one psycho son of a bitch buth your good :d:d:d

  • Comment removed

  • THANK YOU! I've been thinking of this scene for so many years I honestly thought I must have dreamt it. I definately saw it on TV back in the early 90's as I've only ever owned Lethal Weapon on VHS and obviously this scene is not in it. I can only guess the Columbine / other school shootings led them to drop this scene from future airings and videos / DVDs.

You've put my mind at rest, and it was a great scene!

  • naah it was in the directors cut version on vhs,not sure about the dvd but seem to recakll its there to

  • Wow the director's cut is so much better!

  • The Baretta 92 F/S is a Double-action/single action gun. He could still fire it with the hammer down. However, most people are a better shot in SA mode, which explains him cocking it when he sees the sniper.

Also, you know, it looks cool and this is a movie.

  • LoL i was about to put, cos it looks cool. and you answered a question i was gonna ask, wich model beretta is it so fantastic lol.

  • Damn! That's the thing ya' gotta love about Riggs...he's not gonna reason wit ya'...he's just gonna blow you straight to hell.

  • The first Lethal Weapon was the best IMHO. A dark, gritty, violent and tough cop thriller with shades of buddy-buddy humour. One of Rick Donner / Shane Black's best.

  • Yep its a deleted scene. Don't know if its on a special edition DVD or something, but its the real deal.

  • it's on the Director's Cut releases of LW1

  • Wow, how'd the sniper manage to hit those officers? He can't hit Mel for shit, then he just dumps 15 rounds into the guy.

  • This must have been cut out of the original movie--- never seen it before or even heard about it.
