I just cried hearing this song again after... 10 years.

Just like I cried when I watch her lifeless body fall into the water.

Aerith was a 'flat character' but she is the heart and soul of Materia/Mana/Fae(Spiritual energy).

I couldn't believe my eyes when that asshole killed her...but her death had a lot of meaning later on...

One of my top 10 fav games of all time.

The saddest scene ever!! Cloud is under a trance and is about to kill Ariel.And then out of the sky,..Sephiroth comes down and sticks his sword through her heart.And the music from that scene actually made me cry.Pretty emotional game!! But the best game too.

It's just the movie version.

It's like when they adapt a movie from a book; always follow the original.

In the game, there's an optional part I believe where Cloud finds out that his soul-mate WAS in fact Aerith.

Yes and no. Tifa and cloud go a long way back, and they defiantly have a connection. But Aeris was undoubtedly in love with cloud, because he reminded her so much of zack fair,

Zach perished before he could give her the life they dreamnt of having. If you've played Crisis Core then you'd know she was waiting for him, and he was rushing to get back to her, but because of Cloud's dumbass self. Zack took a bullet for Cloud cause they were i guess friends according to Zack.

Actually, Aeris died to help save the planet. She knew there were risks involved... I don't think she necessarily knew she was going to die, nor did she do it to be with Zack.
