Hey! Have you tried the maximus muscle 247 workout (do a google search)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my cousin gained a ton of muscle with it.
Hi, to whoever says she is skinny: HATER. She is perfect. I have watched many Pilates videos and i cant figure out how many reps are required and how many times they need to be done...Is it something like 3 times 15 reps? Or is one time 15 enough??
Excellent and fun pilates workout!! You really do seem like you are having a good time..:). I would recommend beginners and intermediates read more on contrology and how to properly stabilize the ribs etc. before attempting such a routine though. It takes time and study to learn how to roll back properly.
@sara020697 yes she a way from the skinny . so what?!!! she have a good body she don't need to be a verey skinny to do that..!! i bet you she can do that when you couldn't .. and oh yeah ( no offence)
hi, i have a really pushed out tummy after giving birth along with loose skin. Is this exercise gonna tone up my tummy and how long will it take? Do you recommend any other tummy toning exercises too that's gonna tone up my muscles and skin? please respond if you see this thank you.
girls do some silly things to look good. I'm not being nasty but don't you think doing that workout might give you a back injury because your basically rolling on your spinal cord.
You have a good point. You should never roll on anything that makes your spine bump on the floor. In this video, I am rolling on two mats which have extra padding in between them. Rolling is very good for your spine because it provides circulation to your disks and the muscles that surround them as well as strengthens your abdominals.
@alisawyattfitness you should say it in your video. You can't see if theres more than 1 mat. If i try to do that on just one mat it would be dangerous. @jellyboy123 thanks for comment thanks to you I saved my back.
Can you answer my question: How in the world did you learn how to stand up without your hands in the video at 1:30? How long did it take you to do that? I tried but it was way too hard for me.
Hi there! Yes it is hard to learn how to stand up without your hands, it took me at least a year to be able to do it. Part of the trick is building up your core strength with the rest of the Pilates workout--this will give you more control and then practice coming up using your hands.
Yes the rolling exercises in this advanced workout will hurt your neck if you don't do them properly. It's important to roll back only to the shoulders as you're learning Pilates and building strength. When you've gained enough control to roll smoothly and not flop around these exercises actually provide a great massage to the neck and shoulders. Mr. Pilates worked with boxers who needed neck strength and many of his exercises focus on keeping that area strong and supple-thanks for your comment!
I purchased the DVD for the full workout, and it is great!!! I find the workout to be both challenging and fun, and the price is very reasonable for someone whit such an extensive Pilates background.
You couldn't teach that in a gym, most Pilates goers are 60+
