  • Pistons go boing boing boing

  • this is a fantastic video. i was able to ID the parts as they were put on and also determine their function. this is going to help me a great deal on my test and performance exam. thank you!!!

  • true Ford has V8... not some crap inline 4 fart compressor.

  • Now i can build my own motor!

  • It is a great animation, even at a low res. But I wish they had the crank and piston spinning before it went hidden in the block; for newbies. Very good though.

  • Awsome:) greeeeat

  • really great video!

  • What cars was this engine used in.

  • One of the best demonstration video of an engine !

  • would love to see a old ford X-flow engine animation in this :)

  • What software is used to produce animation?

    Any help will be kind.

  • 227 have a bike

  • Annotations labeling / naming the major components would be really cool!

  • Great animation, the music also caught my attention. Does anybody know the name/artist of the soundtrack?

  • 3:30 sick music

  • theres a reason that an animation building a ford engine is out, cuz no one would want to copy it

  • Excellent, thank you!

  • Why the hell are the timing belt covers ALWAYS held on with as many screws as the laws of nature will allow? I know it's important but for god sake unless the engine bay is absolutely enormous it's a pain to get off.

  • nice!

  • Very informative..

  • thats beautiful

  • what cars is this engine used on?

  • rear flange injection and stuff...

  • Awesome video

  • Check out Pacificom Multimedia Studios for some real photo-realistic animations of engines.

  • EASY!!!

  • Please visit the NXTutorials website for more cool tutorials on NX 8.

  • ep6

  • Stupid Ford idiots :)

  • just think, all this used to be in an 80 paged book on how to build the engine... now its in a 5min video on youtube haha

  • My teacher showed this to me on my first engineering class. Pretty cool.

  • I saw vaginal childbirth video on the left side so I'm skipping engineering class for now and getting into biological

  • thank you for the video. Just used this as a training aid on how an engine works. thanks so much for posting.

  • How someone could dislike this? (-_-)

  • That was interesting, I was hoping they'd keep adding more bits functioning until the whole thing was covered

  • What song is this?

  • Crazy Cool... Loved it!!

  • its easy for a beginner....really good

  • Anybody else like OOOOOHHH! thats how that works or thats how they put it together

  • what would be needed to convert a car engine to run a propellor. are the pistons on aircraft engines tighter than car engines? whats the real difference?

  • @210482fmj you could just cut the axl and put a propellor on it.

  • Ford blows big.

  • does anyone had a similar blueprint for these kind of engines?

  • Did anyone else notice the injector spraying halfway down the compression stroke instead of at the beginning of the intake stroke? If that's not a mistake and Ford really tunes their engines that way, that's fine, I'm trying to figure out the advantage to giving the fuel a chance to sit in the intake port........

  • nice video

  • great

    thanls alot

  • Does anyone know the firing order this engine is? can you tell from the video? I am learning this stuff right now. I think it is 1342. But like i said, i am just learning more of the complicated stuff.

  • nice pieces

  • I took 3:26 minutes to put all the parts together. I do it in 1 minute! :-D

  • @Maxxxshop how?

  • @bipinformprotect

    I have a magic stick :-D

  • Ford did not design this motor.. It is exactly the same as a Nissan 2.4l 4 cyl that i had in my Nissan 240. FORD is a cheat, like all other american car companies.

  • @ditto14462 how?

  • @bipinformprotect He runs Linux.

  • @ditto14462

sorry to disappoint you but it really is a Ford motor its Ford’s 2.5L Duratec inline 4

if you really had a 240sx, you would know the difference of the shape of the valve cover, which side the oil cap is on, and that the intake manifold is on the left and the exhaust is on the right.

    i highly doubt you've owned a 240sx

  • @superUltimateBastard

unless it had an engine swap.

ditto14462 sounds like he knows jack shit about cars, so he may have been sold a dunga.

not just that, nissan and ford were under "model-sharing schemes" around this time so it was not unusual to have / see nissan shells with ford motors & ford shells with nissan motors.

  • @ditto14462 No your a liar, that looks nothing like a KA, the valve cover is way different and the manifold is opposite. You just assume because of the valve cover. IF anything itd look like an SR20, but still no. You made yourself look like an idiot and i hope after the 5 months you posted this comment you realize how dumb you really are. Get your facts straight buddy.

  • Cool

  • That Is AWESOME, So Much Detail

  • Chevrolet bitches.

  • o povo fika discutindo gas, agua, Rapa Ferá msmo é quem fez toda essa animação, no Autodesk, demora mais tempo do que fazer o própio motor. tah loko

  • Pretty cool!! (except for the Ford part)

  • @greg197040 LOL so true.

  • @greg197040 theres nothin wrong with fords ye cheeky c**t!

  • I see that in 2004:)

    Its amazing:)

Most of this components in makings on STUDER machines (grinders).

    Cool:)

  • Looks like a spaceship! Cool.

  • Awesome Good work How smooth

  • 23 woman's..........ladyes plis back to the kitchen

  • @sathyalevy Now you know why engineers make good money, ditto for auto mechanics.

  • Can someone tell me what is the gas wasting on a 4 cylinder Otto engine?? I refer ve always asked myself what is the size of the damn piston hahaa so what is the volume of a cylinder chamber?? how many times per second does the cylinder is fulled assuming taht you´ve reached max power? Thaanks!

  • i am a lover of speed

and an engine has an awsome power thanks for this video

  • Thanks for sharing this awsome vid.

  • lol, any chance in sharing where i would find dimension for these components?

  • Missed the gudgeon pin circlips :-)

  • MUY MUY BUENO!

  • This vid has nothing on Jam Handy!!

  • hope china does not steal the design

  • @matthewdimaculangan why? If you come to think of it, Ford "stole" the four stroke engine from the germans... It all depends on how biased you are.

First of all, the chinese have gone trough enough reverse engineering and are capable of designing their own engines. Secondly, even if they did, MOST of what is fitted inside your Ford was made in China.

  • thanks:)

  • 3.34-4.00 dance!!!

  • the guy who did this dont have live.

  • @modeivan says the guy looking at it on youtube hahahahhahaha

  • @doragzzzz if i know how to work with as nice as he can, i will do the same and i stay in home doing this!!!! i love the video.

  • @modeivan the people who made this is probably a team of engineers. So yes you are right, they have no lives! just kidding! :D

  • where can you download these as a screensaver? i have seen them at certain shops

  • love how they capture the full works of the Valve Assembly so perfectly :D

  • v4 90 degrees impressive

  • @doom2082 inline 4?

  • What software did you use in creating this? We're all in a college drafting class watching your video. Wondering if you used Inventor at some point.

  • They gotta be careful damn it! No oil, no coolant and no muffler!

  • wow - this was made in 2000, which makes it even more impressive!!!!

  • wat are the black things that get put on at 2:20?

  • @adanac96 It is the exhaust manifold, which is usually a one-piece casting of cast iron or a weldment of bent and shaped steel tubes.

  • @adanac96 It is actually the intake manifold. The fuel injectors are in green.

  • I know it's not the subject..but people worry about the future with energy prices, pollution, etc..but God's kingdom is coming..and will eliminate all the problems we face, and give us the oppurtunity to come up with designs and fuels that don't pollute! Take the time to examine the future from the bible's perspective..the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!!

  • @brofun i hope your joking!! Theres no place for religious fanatics on these videos!!! go and commet on some atheism videos or something. The bible can suck my chodes sir.

  • @mrburnett Nope..not joking at all! And people ARE worried about the future. If you know nothing about the bible, then why such an arrogant and obscene attitude? I can comment where I like! If you don't like it..don't comment!

  • this took me about 30 min to make in solidworks ;)

  • now, get that to redline :)

  • messi mejor q ronaldo lejos

  • Which one is the exhaust manifold?

  • @ppplks the exhaust is at the bak side in 2:24

  • This makes a rotary look even simpler.....

  • is there a better quality?

  • Wow

  • in terms of the animation. I guaranteed one of the crew who made that animation have died due to not having sleeps in a week

  • Duetz Engine Screensaver!

  • The animation makes engines seem much larger than they actually are

  • modern engines run nice and smooth, but when you have to do maintenance you will swear on all Holy's. Long live the old engines!

  • @215alessio future is electric drive. watch evtv.me

    weekly show

  • very nice video ill use it for teaching thnx!

  • Why are there 2 intake and exhaust valves on each cylinder? Also it would be great if someone would download this video, put a narration over it saying what some of the things are that are going on, and re upload. I think by about 2:05 I started to get a little lost with some of the things and it would be really helpful to have a little info.

  • professional

  • Looks like a space ship :)

  • esa animación es una chingonería

  • IS there a V4 engine? or W4?

  • why is it a 2 stroke?

  • @ROBOTNINJA500 its not. its a 4 stroke.

  • hydrogen is!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I dont usually watch movies that start out with the word "awesome" but I am glad I watched this one. You people that created this have done what I could only imagine in the past. Thanks

  • 4 cylinder engine with turbo = common v6

  • very good video

  • amazing ._.

  • Electric is not the future. Gas turbine is.

  • @twistedyogert Or Hydrogen

  • @twistedyogert

It might actually be natural gas.

  • @twistedyogert Someone should tell Toyota and Honda this.

  • @twistedyogert Where do you plan to find all the gas?

  • @mattegeniet Trust me, there are enough hidrocarbs suitable for being used as fuel in the depths of the ocean. Why do the Russians, Canadians and Americans want a piece of land in the Arctic before it all melts?

  • @bf2lover42 Ah yeah, that depends on how far into the future you want to look =)

  • @twistedyogert

my ass gas will run out too nuclear is the answer

  • @twistedyogert Gas turbines efficiency drops rapidly at low speeds. i'd say diesel. It can run on rapeseed oil (40% of this plant' weight can be turned into oil) which will never run out, has 50% efficiency, and burns less fuel per mile. Also rapeseed oil burns better and cleaner than petrol. Combine that with hybrid technology and you get a car that is enviromentally friendly, has great milage and its source of fuel is unlimited meaning that gas price will remain rock solid! yey! :D

  • @cyberlord64

not to crash on your party, even though i like biodiesels too, but the gas price will probably end up fluctuating based on demand of agricultural lands to support that. eventually as the earth runs out of space, we'll probably see a slow increase in gas prices once it takes a decent amount of money to wrestle land out of other people. except there is a potential for all this being averted by gmo rapeseed or some other miracle plant, so overall, diesel's good idea to stick to.

  • @twistedyogert Show us please!

  • @twistedyogert ....what.. Hydrogen is the future

  • @twistedyogert i don't agree. electric motors have the highest efficiency. a good electric engine can use 98% of the input power in order to transform it into mechanical energy, gasoline engines rarely touch the 20%. that means that 20% is used for movement, 80 is wasted in heat and gasses. electric engines can reach evene 2-300,000 rotations per minute, but these engines are not so common. an most of all, less moving parts, which means less maintenance, longer life.

  • pretty cool, actually.

  • The future of the service manual.......very cool

  • Please watch:

WORLD'S GREATEST AMOUNT OF COMPRESSION RATIO ENGINE

  • Nice video! I'm going to miss gas and diesel engines. Heads up all, we're running out of oil. Some have predicted that heating oil will reach $5.00/gallon by 2012. I hope someone can prove me wrong about the running out of oil thing cause I live in a cold part of the States.

  • @killerdees

Don''t worry, enough oil in the world. and if it's all gone there will just be other engines like hydro- i don't know what- things. A shame, i must admit that. I'll miss them too. Oh and in Holland where i'm from we already pay like 8,20 Dollars a gallon. mostly because of the taxes here. Too damn high.

  • Thanks a lot. I love it. You saved me a lot of time to teach my daughter how an engine works. Now she wants me to help her to fix mom's car (she just turned 5).

    I created a monster LOL

  • hmmm firing order 2,1,3,4

  • if only it was that easy to build

  • Holy Heck! That is an awesome vid! I can't believe how many parts (and screws) there are in that thing! You'd have to have a masters in mechanical engineering and one in Thermodynamics just to begin to really understand this thing! amazing stuff, Great video!

  • @chemicalsweet13 Thermodynamics? O.o

  • @TheVamppire yah, you know, basically it's the study of how heat is converted into other forms of energy. It's really a bit more complicated than that but imagine, these engines use small explosions to move a car forward. You need precisely the right amount of energy to do that and to provide an adjustable velocity... these engines are marvels of human engineering. the fact that they don't frequently explode and kill us is just amazing!

  • how interesting it would be to get all the parts and put everything together bu yourself. like complicated lego

  • water pump at 2:41 oil pump at 1:18 work on these engines all day long

  • @smudgebaby1982 repair or build?

  • @smudgebaby1982 then why are u watching this?

  • Comment removed

  • what is that at 2:41?

  • @kpgpwi64 water pump

  • I came...

  • goof vid - just turn off the music.

  • what was the part that went in at 1:18

  • @WTR1050 i think oil pump hence the place of it

  • hah, call that a fan belt, now this is a fan belt!

  • Give me the same engine and torque specs and I could probably rebuiild it just by watching this.

  • @JooKed doubt it..

  • lol this is my screen saver on my work computer, it's fun to watch the first few times then you just start feeling sick.

  • straight four like in a miata?

  • @soxeyer your an idiot

  • @CrownHolder8ight what the hell is your problem?

  • kool

  • sweet, now i know how to put my motor back together

  • very very good animation.

  • turbo, powered with the band? never heard of that, i think you made your engine wrong

  • this reminds me of that old computer game "street rod"

  • how am i to learn anything then? suppose your a "know all" yank?

  • good video,it would be even better if the parts were named as they are added.

  • @MegaTaurus777 if you dont know then dont watch it

  • In what programm it was did it?
