Karmas a bitch Bryce.... i hope someone trys to break your leg just like how you tried to break our 1st basemans leg in the JUCO world series.. you classes faggot !! and Chris McKenzie (Washington Nationals) is the one in this video who carved your ass up that night too.... bitch. He is a great talent.. but bottom line the kids a fucking punk. He talks alot of shit and better believe the guys up in the MLB got something for his punk ass !!
@pmelt24 You have to realise that this guy has done nothing but win... his entire life. He acts entitled because, well, he should be. He has never said anything he couldn't back up. He has dominated everywhere, he has no reason not to be cocky. He's already made two or three times your lifetime earnings, and he's the greatest talent this sport has seen in 20 years, if not ever. The kid is allowed to be confident.
Since he knew he had the #1 pick locked down....why not have some fun with a blue when you know in 6 months you'll be making 4x that ump's salary? and how about just giving him the joy that he got to toss THE Bryce Harper
Of course, we're chatting up a player that has the video, Bryce Harper Blows Kiss To Pitcher After Hitting A Home Run. Respect = calls here and there.
@JGmartinezJr you can argue all you want...make it known that the umpire sucks. i did it my 20yrs playing baseball as a catcher. He did not put dirt on home plate, what he did is draw a line with his bat where the pitch was which is an immediate ejection.
@eliX0r Oh no, I'm not saying it wasn't a bad call - it was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Rex Hudler talked about how he put dirt on home plate and was immediately ejected, per the rules. You can't in any way show up the ump, that too will get you tossed, even though I felt Harper had the right to do so in this case.
i understand that you're not supposed to draw the line and all that, but does anyone see where the pitch actually was?!?!? that call was just bullshit. the ump just wanted to get under bryces skin.
@BreakinMA what do you mean not really? youre telling me umps will let guys get away with that but toss managers from the dugout for doing the same thing without a physical demonstration?
With some of the reactions so far I am going to get razzed on this. At any level, you DO NOT draw a line, you will get tossed. Major Leaguers have been tossed for the same thing.
It has nothing to do with agreeing with or not agreeing with the call, you are showing disrespect and unsportsmanlike conduct.
@matt4schroeder hes a player, all players know they cant argue with the umpires unless your in major league/minor league. If he did defintley the coach would have said some thing to bryce.
@MattSchroeder93 u moron that is definitely and issue. that ball was well within the other batters box making it IMPOSSIBLE for him to even make contact with much less get a hit. get outa here with that crap you faggot
@phatneazy@MattSchroeder93 He's right. If he's been calling that all day, you should expect it. Make the adjustment. But in this particular case, it's just a shitty call.
@naazerable - You can't make and adjustment on a ball that is 12" off the plate. Come on. There needs to be some accountability for bad calls or just let computers do the job. He just drew a line with out looking at the umpire. The ejection was chicken-sh*t. Not to mention the ump obviously needs help with seeing the ball.
@davidlarpenteur That is exactly why I also said that in this particular case, it was a shitty call. I was just speaking in generalities, and I concur with you wholeheartedly.
"...have fun gettin into the bigs..." He's getting there, and sooner rather than later. I would say it was dumb to risk the wrath of the ump and thereby get himself ejected from the JUCO WS. But the ump was an insecure pimp for tossing Harper after he, the ump, just blew the call. Mistyflip is right: the ump's hissy fit ensured that EVERYBODY saw how he blew the call. Meanwhile, Harper is still fast-tracking to the Bigs.
@pweener theres a good chance he won't get into the bigs for a long time. The ump did everything right. Yes he made the call wrong, but if you draw a line, you will get ejected. He drew the line, he got ejected.
"If you draw a line, you will get ejected." Can't argue that. I kinda liked the spunk, though, and thought it was funny. But no doubt his coach wasn't amused. Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see how long -- or soon -- it takes Harper to reach the Nats. He's zipping along on schedule. I wouldn't even rule out a Sept. call up. My money is on him being called up for sure by this time, next year. Talk to you again, then!
@pweener don't get me wrong, i like him. Harper is a good guy and a helluva ballplayer, but his attitude is way to.. Flashy would be the word, for the big leagues. guys like Beckett; they're hot heads, but they don't show people up. Harper, though, i've seen twice show people up. and that isn;t acceptable on a big league club. but yeah, talk to ya then, and whatever happens happens man.
@UABaseball012 just cause you're number one doesn't mean you make the bigs fast. Attitude is a huge thing for small market teams, especially the Nationals and Reds.
I have an open stance and Im wondering if I should keep two hands on the bat after I swing or not. I have the open stance which I step into the pitch,I dont stay open. Can someone please help me decide whether to keep two hands on the bat or not.

@kcballa8808 Wow... You must play a church league! On this being a clearly terrible call he made a line in the dirt, got ejected and didnt even respond. How is that a 5th grade mentality? He is a little cocky but really why not? He may just be one of the most talented players we will see in our life. Or he will be a flop, guess we will find out soon enough.
If you are an umpire and have such a cocky strike three punch out, you better make sure the pitch is in the damn strike zone before you make that call. Compared to that umpire's punch out, the line in the sand seems subtle.
That sorry ump would have called strike three if the pitcher had hurled it over the backstop. He just wanted to ring up Bryce Harper. Probably the biggest accomplishment of his life.
@luisespinax hahahahahahahahahaha start a fight on youtube. that will make you so popular. all i was saying is that this ump probably knew this bryce harper kid is a prodigy and he just wanted the recognition for tossing this kid out. and im not all gay. im experimenting
I would draw that line too.. That was such a garbage call. Hell, if I was going to be a number 1 overall draft pick I sure wouldn't give a shit about getting tossed!
The catcher is extremely happy that Bryce got ejected, LOL! Even he knows they would have lost the game otherwise. Classic fist pump. He should be on Jersey Shore!
@hurricanehawk64 youd have to be completely out to lunch to swing at a pitch in the other batter's box. an ump would only call that a strike every 1 in like 10 times so fuck that.
i got ejected for rubbing my bat in the dirt too and didnt say a single word...i think umpires are told if the batter does that you can eject them.. and i had to miss the next game against Eric Hosmer
This is pretty funny. That was way outside but yeah, he should have known he would get tossed for that. It's really funny when umps make a bad call and get called out for it, but let the manager or coach do that and get tossed.
@qwertyjordan ..Well,,,lets see....a first overall pick in the MLB draft.......will be in the outfield for the the Nats in 2 yrs......when will you be on a major league roster?
@qwertyjordan sooooo hes playing pro ball and ur still playing juco right btw did u hit 31 homers as a 17 year old playing against college kids yep hes overrated because of 2 at bats be happy atleast wen ur old and have grand kids and hes a hall of famer u can tell them u sat his ass down twice in college... if u can prove it
you people are either idiots or know nothing about baseball. it doesn't matter who you are or what level you play at, drawing a line in the dirt to show the umpire where the pitch was will get you tossed. he knew that before he did it but since at the time he felt he was untouchable, he figured he could get away with it. he deserved to get tossed
When a pitcher has that rush of loving the ump behind the plate, or the hitter for swinging at that awful brim high ball four, you know it shouldn't have been. This call makes you wonder what was the cat behind the plate seeing? When the pitch is on or IN the opposing batters box, there's a miniscule problem with the zone of blue.

At :06 you see the catcher sway and at :07 you see as the catcher gets up where he set up on the plate.
Regardless if it was a strike or not...every hitter in baseball has been rung up on a pitch that he thought was outside.
Harper may be a good hitter. But if he thinks he is so good that he will never had a questionable call made against him he is wrong.
As he matures his mental toughness will catch up to his physical abilities.
How does getting thrown out of the game help his team? Selfish?

hurricanehawk64 9 months ago
@hurricanehawk64 umpires are taught to throw out players who draw where the pitch was on the dirt. learn about baseball and then talk faggot
luisespinax 9 months ago
@luisespinax hahahahahahahahahaha start a fight on youtube. that will make you so popular. all i was saying is that this ump probably knew this bryce harper kid is a prodigy and he just wanted the recognition for tossing this kid out. and im not all gay. im experimenting

@azdoeordie thats a good point. did you see what he did down in single a ball? douche
hurricanehawk64 8 months ago
I would draw that line too.. That was such a garbage call. Hell, if I was going to be a number 1 overall draft pick I sure wouldn't give a shit about getting tossed!

Fucking Umpires, trying to do anything to get noticed. That made that loser of a umpires life to do that

How the hell can an ump be so wrong?
beltedDEEP 9 months ago
The catcher is extremely happy that Bryce got ejected, LOL! Even he knows they would have lost the game otherwise. Classic fist pump. He should be on Jersey Shore!

Drawing the line. (Beast) bat flip after he gets ejected... Classic... Bryce Harper is amazing.

the classic line in the sand. love it
TGbaseball26 9 months ago
how could these hitters be laying off pitches this close?
hurricanehawk64 9 months ago
@hurricanehawk64 youd have to be completely out to lunch to swing at a pitch in the other batter's box. an ump would only call that a strike every 1 in like 10 times so fuck that.
2bmc 9 months ago
@2bmc its a line from major league. im not saying he should have swung
hurricanehawk64 9 months ago
i like his bat flip after he's ejected...classic
GCookieFresh 9 months ago
i got ejected for rubbing my bat in the dirt too and didnt say a single word...i think umpires are told if the batter does that you can eject them.. and i had to miss the next game against Eric Hosmer
undermisensiOPC 9 months ago
This is pretty funny. That was way outside but yeah, he should have known he would get tossed for that. It's really funny when umps make a bad call and get called out for it, but let the manager or coach do that and get tossed.

This Nigga is overrated! I struck him out twice at regionals while playing for central Arizona college.

@qwertyjordan sooooo hes playing pro ball and ur still playing juco right btw did u hit 31 homers as a 17 year old playing against college kids yep hes overrated because of 2 at bats be happy atleast wen ur old and have grand kids and hes a hall of famer u can tell them u sat his ass down twice in college... if u can prove it
bigbirdgrappler60 9 months ago
@qwertyjordan and you play where now??
olinebigman 9 months ago
I am not condoning that arrogant assholes behavior, you never show up an ump no matter who you are, but DAMN that was really outside.
06mvpplaya 9 months ago
you people are either idiots or know nothing about baseball. it doesn't matter who you are or what level you play at, drawing a line in the dirt to show the umpire where the pitch was will get you tossed. he knew that before he did it but since at the time he felt he was untouchable, he figured he could get away with it. he deserved to get tossed

Harper was probably thrown out because the umpire thought he was swatting dirt at him. In Bryce's defense, that was a pretty bad call.

That was a terrible call. You wonder if Harper got on his bad side somehow.
