I enjoyed my days as a soap actor (fame & money were great), but quit due to frustration with lack of control over my character.

The show’s producers actually made me GAY, something totally against my moral principles. I suggested we could work it as a warning to viewers- I could act in a predatory way as gays usually do, maybe abducting a young boy or something. However, they said I had to be a ‘sympathetic role model’. Fed up, I put in a request to be killed off by AIDS, which was accepted.

Ah, yes. This was around the time when Eileen (Ashley) was still on B&B before returning to Y&R. Kinda forgot about that since I rarely watch B&B. I agree, there's too much sex and most of the acting is a bit overexaggerated. *sigh* But the openings have always been really good.
