Lol. This is so true! I worked for the Gap right after highschool and they came out with a newsletter once for the employees to show us that they did not rely on sweatshops for labor. The picture showed rows of Indian women sitting criss-cross on a floor, hand sewing beads onto these hideous tunics we ended up clearancing out for $3.97. Obviously they could not have been paid that much and obviously no one was any more convinced that Gap didn't use sweatshop shops. And no more newsletters again.
