LOL, mega and hype dps fail. The hyperion is doing 40 or less damage per turret in a 4sec volley. that is less than 100 dps. Thats why seems to last a long time. Just pay attention to the damage done and taken.
Megathron pilot fails only in 1 - he didnt warp out when he was in structure ...
Nice repping on hyperrion but u never get a similar fight on Tranq. 5x cap rechargers II makes u preety cap stable but 1 heavy neuter will make u cry ... and pvp whitout disruptor or scrambler ... pfff .. u can take ur fit to some mission not to pvp

For solo roaming work though, the hyperion is one of the best battleships in the game for it (I always go Heavy Nos in the high and 1 Large Cap Booster and ECM in the mids). Cap stable for 6minutes and a few seconds with both reppers.
They are almost the same ship, but the hype has 8 turret slots, more CPU, more Powergid... and the hype has more EHP... they both get the same damage bonus but the hype basicly has 16% more damge to dish out.
uhm lol, you think that really count for much? the mega can have an armor hp of over 61,000, with 72,64,64,52 resists, 1x T2 rep (not great resists, but the armor hp makes up for it) and 1,000 DPS.
the hyperion can not come even close to having that kind of a tank
just this guys mega fit was fail. and frankly if you think the mega's rep-bonus is any form of help in pvp... then your a moron lol, and if you think it deals out more damage, again, your a moron, the mega is better at everything
lol, the hyperions boost of 300 rep ammount (per cycle with bs - lvl 5) is only an additional like, 40 dps tank, if that. double rep, you may be able to tank around, 500-600 dps, resistance depending.
But, the mega ignores tanking the damage with rep cycles, and has 60,000 armor HP(not effective, actual ARMOR hp), with decent resists for omni-tanking. it lasts much longer, than any hyperion in a PVP situation, the double-rep will not save you against 1,000 dps, ever.
are you high on something cause you seem to be a dumb ass. First of all, its impossible to get 60 thousand actual armor hitpoints, seconds a hyperion can rep over 1k of armor hit points per rep cycle. Either you are a moron or high on weed.
@ZITremedy664: That fit however is expensive as hell. I would almost call it fail, unless you have too much ISK of course, Each of the rigs alone costs more than the ship + fit alone, lol....I'd rather have 2 other guys in T1 trimark megas with me.

You can tank a Neutron fit Mega in a hyppie. Its just generally expensive to do it. :P
hehe. it was on SISI so i didnt feel the need to stick the usual PVP extra's onto the meds, considering no-one was going to be attempting to run away. just felt sensless.
and yeah they were T2 reppers on the hype, ill open up a killmail and get the just of his setup of sisi after its DT if your interested in his setup.

IThere are both great ships.
Its mainly that The hyp is better as a blaster boat,
It has the advantage primarilly by one extra turret for that much more DPS.
The Mega is good all around due to ability to be a good blaster boat and a good sniper.
But since i was originally going mega blaster boat then realized the power of the hyp in terms of up close combat, I've decided to train up for a Hyp

well, mega also has a larger drone bay, featuring 5 oger T2's kinda, makes up for that dps quite abit. plus the mega can fit a MUCH better tank

try on EFT
FULL slave set slots 1-6, 3x T2 trimark armor pumps, 3x 1600MM RT plate, 2x EANM T2, 2x Magstab T2
walla, over 60k armor HP. stick that on with squad bonus's and your hitting 70k armor HP.
i expect an appolagy for calling me a druggy and a moron, when you clearly dont know how to setup a megathron if you cant work that out^^
