I would agree, it's sad when people pretend to "like" popular music just to be cool, but there is no such thing as "fake music". All music is art, no matter it's age. What may be ugly and pointless to you may be beautiful and meaningful to someone else. Bashing on others' favorite music makes you as ignorant as they are.

And by the way... I love this. Mairead has true talent. She's very beautiful too.

However I think that there is indeed such a thing as "fake music," to a degree. For instance when a producer writes words that have no meaning but rather an agenda to make money, has a pretty face "sing" the words to a generic beat and then electrically modifies the "singing" to whatever sounds best, that is not sincere. That is not art.

And arguably, that is just my opinion.
