MOST CRITICS GIVE THE "ORDINARY" OR CINEMA VERSION ONE OR TWO STARS. BUT THEY ALWAYS GIVE THE FULL VERSION FOUR OR FIVE STARS!! THIS IS BECAUSE, TO APPRECIATE THE STORY, YOU MUST SEE IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. SAME WITH JOHN WAYNE'S "ALAMO" FROOM 1960. SIX HOURS REDUCED TO TWO AND A HALF HOURS!!! WHY CAN'T SOME VIDEO OWNER FIND THE MISSING PIECES OF FILM, STITCH THEM ALL TOGETHER AGAIN AND GIVE US THE FULL, COMPLETE VERSION OF THESE CLASSICS?? OR IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK THE STUDIOS?? PROBABLY!!

I remember watching this film - the heavily edited version, actually - at a nearly empty theater, and I couldn't understand why it had been viciously trashed!!!

Gorgeous music, gorgeous cinematography, gorgeous period detail!!!

I really love this movie, especially its music, I really want to see it in the five hour version. This is film is a true epic, a "tainted masterpiece" as someone put it.

@josiahscurlock I'm glad you liked the vid. Yes, we are a select few who've seen it. Not a perfect film but vastly underrated. One of the best, most evocative film soundtracks I've heard. Take care.
