This happens way too much and OFFSIDE should only be called when more that 50% of the forwards body is offside not just a leg. The assistant referee (who was out of position for the goal) and is responsible for determining whether or not it crossed the goal line, has probably the worst angle to view the goal (not to mention players in the way n shit), I don't think there is any way he could have known whether it crossed or not. The offside calls are a completely different story, as the assistant is in the BEST position to view them.

Clearly onside is when one is behind the line of the last defender. Here it is clear he is on the same line, but these calls are notoriously 50-50, as anybody who understands anything about football knows. please don't compare this call with the disallowed goal from the slovenia game. honestly I even thought it was offsides before I saw this. the rule states that if the head, body or legs of a player is ahead of 2nd to last defending player, its offside. dempey's leg just got ahead while the ball was being passed and it is easy to see how an official can call it offside. remember the linesman is watching this play in real time. now if you want instant replay, thats another story...
