I fail to see the relevance with 'make money or make excuses' and being in the now.

Some people think that not making is somehow being "more spiritual" or "more present" And in essence we live in a world of form, where you do need to make money to live and survive. So that is what is meant by that. (not to take away from being in the now) Being in the now will get you there:) "you are there already"

Spiritually it is a bit more complicated than that. You are right to say you have to live in the world however, you should also be aware of the true nature of the monetary system from a spiritual perspective, if you aren't. There are some great videos around on the internet about the fiat monetary system, or debt as money etc. check it out.

Great discussion. Except, what you referred to as "resistance" I consider living in denial. If you live in denial you resist to acknowledge that you're unhappy. And if someone complains of being unhappy but does nothing to change that, he is afraid of taking responsibility for himself.

Change doesn't require "letting go" of a part of ourselves, we just need to find a stronger part within ourselves to compliment the other.
