@CobraGMW2 in SuperPi 32m the Q9400 takes about 10mins 54secs to complete the benchmark and the i5 2300-2400 series CPU's take about 8mins 7secs, aside from performance the i5 2310 is a 32nm CPU so it uses less power and produces less heat
I'm planning to upgrade my Rig.. Will used it for encoding and editing videos.. Is Intel Core i5 2310 sufficient for this task *faster encoding*.. btw My current processor is E5200 and it lags when encoding videos.. Here's my upgrades:
i bought this processor because i'm not a fan of overclocking, and for almost 5 months i can say it is amazing. along with a gigabyte radeon HD 6850 it runs very good. Windows experience index gives it a 7.4.
Hi, im thinking of buying a new computer, but dont want to spend too much money on it and still have a good gaming computer, Can you tell me if this is a good set up? if not, what would u change ?
@Theiarz the only thing i can really see wrong with it is the RAM, ud be better off with CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8, still 1600Mhz, 8GB, except the latencies are 8-8-8-24 so u would get a lot more performance out of ur system
Im Planing to buy a pc with this cpu i just got a question ... would u recomend this cpu for a gaming pc? Here Are The Whole Spec's Of the pc im buying
Intel Core i5 quad core Core i5-2310.
Processor speed 2.9GHz.
8GB DDR3 RAM.
Dedicated graphics.
On-board graphics memory.
NVIDIA GeForce 1GB GTX550TI graphics card with 1000MB memory.
@Sean1337Production with most new games the performance bottleneck is always usually GPU related, if u get ur self setup with a Quad Core CPU u should be perfectly fine, fyi if i were u i would upgrade to a GTX 560 or GTX 560ti.
@JamesDwho but i got a little problem here sir ... i live in uk .. and i dont trust websides like ebay with pc etc. and i got a shop (only shop in rage 120 km) that got all brilliant pc's but there is a thing and its called Grapihics Card .. its All ways this here > Intel HD 2000 graphics card. i want to buy a i5 or i7 but i got only one pc with i5 and good GC i listed it erily ... but if i buy a diffrent gc my warrenty gose ... so u see ?
best money i have ever invested

@wajinshu the Core i5 2310 will do a great job at rendering and encoding videos, it shouldn't lag at all

@JamesDwho Im Pleased With The Fast Respond
Another Question ... would u be able to Overclock the procesoor .. becouse i would like to over clock up to 3.3 ghz at least
Sean1337Production 1 month ago
@Sean1337Production u can overclock the CPU up to the MAX turbo frequency which is 3.2Ghz
JamesDwho 1 month ago
@JamesDwho what about the temparture of the cpu ? becouse i dont want to buy a pc over clock it first day and then brake it the next day
Sean1337Production 1 month ago
@Sean1337Production the i5 2310 is designed to natively run at 3.2Ghz (Turbo Mode), the cpu should stay within safe temperatures

RUSSIAN26KILLER 2 months ago
@RUSSIAN26KILLER probably not, i think that Intel is reserving the high end 6 core CPU's for LGA 2011
