I like the "Play 162" with the shot of Red Schoendienst, who has been playing 162 since freakin 1945 and STILL going at the age of 86. We love ya Red!
Brian Barton- an outfielder for the 2008 and opening weeks of the 2009 campaign. Spark plug as a pinch hitter early in 08, but struggled late. Traded to the Braves early 09 for Blaine Boyer, a hard throwing reliever, who was release a month later.
unfortunatly as we all know players are motivated by none of those things but instead money. few players actually care about winning. great team... anyways just wanted to let that out.
not its fact. i am right you know. this is not to say every1 is. there are some players that play with pride for their city. i dint expect to be replied to because its obvious.
when pujols signed a contract extension with the cardinals back in 2004, he took less money so that the cardinals would have more money to spend on better players to put together a winning team.
GO BLUES< GO CARDs, i like baseball but hockey is the best, and it needs to get here, we have the best fans in all of sports ad the most fan friendly players on any sports team, so beats the cards
Awesome ad campaign. I must have watched this all the way through on the Jumbotron at the game when the batter's eye stalled play for nearly 20 minutes.
I found it funny, though, how they said "Play Small" with an Izturiz picture...I couldn't help but think that if Eckstein was still here, they'd put him there instead. Izturiz is still a pretty small guy, though.
I'm not a big sports fanatic, keeping up with all the stats & such. But how can anyone not love the Cardinals?
Lets Go REDBIRDS!!!!

I believe the "Play Small" refers to the fact that the photo shows him bunting. Small ball as opposed to the Long Ball of the home run variety.
