i love your scottish voice lol i want to get a shock collar for my dog so i can let her off leash and let her chase squirls and have fun but i dont want to spend all that money if it might not work, my akita is just a crazy stubborn dog

Best buy ever for dog.. he is now beep only for response and when he is distracted by another dog a nip makes him refocus on me and returns. Police visited us twice because of our neighbours missconceptions about the breed. since the collar he is the best trained dog in our area.

Great stuff. What size probes do you use and how tight is the collar to achieve consistent contact?

Hi , I also have an akita (check my vids!) and we have real problems similar to yours.

We recently had him nuetered(sp) and its made no difference what so ever .

He slipped off the leash at my door the other day and was away for 3 hours . We have a massive field next to us that he explores and chases cattle !

It really is getting beyond a joke now and no fun at all .Just wondering how you are getting on with the collar and if it has been successful ? also where did you get it it and how much?

If our dog slipped off leash I would be worried for him more than anything else: get a collar it will protect your dog from the majority that read the sun and believe any dog over 6 inches tall is a child killer. By the way ours is an American akita and as such is an AKITA; so Japanese American makes no diff.. They all need a strong deceive leadership, the coallar is a short cut: but it does protect your dog and takes the pressure off you so you can enjoy the dog

I am thinking of getting a training collar put was reading they don't work on Akita's.

The collar has 8 settings: setting 8 is for the AKITA.
