This is the first VGM that ever jumped out at me. Playing FF8 as an eight-year-old I remembered thinking "woah, this song is really cool!". And it's still my favourite VGM to this day, for the combination of nostalgia and the fact it's just plain awesome.

Edea is my favorite of all the sorceresses. She had the best motives to me. Adel was the toughest to beat but she loses points for falling for Laguna's stupid plan and looking like a guy.

When I hear this, I remember that part of the game where you were on the space station, and Rinoa was under the sorceresses control, and how ghostly she was walking. Both fear and desperation kind of describe that scene. You're like "NOOOO I GOTTA STOP HER!" then she just blasts you aside like a flea. Crazy part of the game, and very emotional too. I also remember when you had to save her from drifting out into space.

@PetrifEye The thing that sticks out in my mind about that scene, and several others, is how slow it all happened. I think the pacing of events really added to the storytelling. These days if anything takes longer than a second or two to happen, it's cut out or shortened because it's "boring" and people supposedly don't have that kind of attention span.
